Nyx stood in the hallway, his silver eyes narrowing in frustration as he stared at the closed door. He had been certain that Jace and Jacin were still in the room just moments ago. Now, he couldn't sense their presence at all. His frown deepened as he realized they had somehow managed to evade him.

He took a step back, his mind racing with possibilities. Nyx had encountered many individuals with unique abilities in his lifetime, but teleportation was rare and powerful. It was a significant clue, and one he could not ignore. Determined, he turned on his heel and made his way down the hallway, his thoughts focused on his next move.
