Kapitel 21: CHAPTER 20:The Morning Prayer Awakening.
Annika woke up early in the morning when nobody else had risen. She got dressed but forgot to apply vermillion to her forehead. Heading downstaird, she entered the temple, where she removed her heels before approaching the idol of Lord Shiva. Lighting the lamp and folding her hands, she began singing a devotional song with a powerful and beautiful voice , awakening everyone in the house.
Meanwhile, Alex was napping on a couch on the balcony when he heard a woman's voice singing. Surprised, as he knew no one in the house typically sang in the morning,he attempted to muffle the sound with a pillow to no avail . He reluctantly woke up, sat up and donned his gown before heading downstairs. There , he found the rest of the family in the temple , singing and praying with folded hands. Despite his intial irritation, Alex removed his shoes and joined the prayer, realizing the beauty of the moment.
