Kapitel 28: Spectator.

Final Discussion Day.

Rabbit group.

"Saving up for 20 million points, right?" Ichinose asked. Ayanokoji replied while glancing at Ichinose's phone, "Yes, although no one's ever done it before." Ichinose leaned closer as she said, "Ayanokoji-kun, did you see my points at some point?" Before Ayanokoji could reply, another person entered the room.

"Hola!" Yuto exclaimed, his grin infectious. Ichinose tilted her head, a note of caution in her tone, "Kazuki-kun, I don't believe you're permitted to be here." Yuto's smile remained unwavering as he explained, "I forked out 5000 points for the privilege of observing this discussion, with the condition that I refrain from direct participation."

"Ah, I see."

"What's this talk about points again?!" Yuto interjected eagerly, his interest piqued. "Oh... haha... I don't mind showing it to you, but keep it a secret!" Ichinose exclaimed as Yuto nodded before sitting beside her. Ichinose then showed her phone to Yuto. "Ahhhh! I see..." I thought I was the only one."

Ichinose tilted her head in confusion, "What do you mean?" Yuto simply took out his phone and said nothing as he showed it to her. Ichinose's eyes widened. "No... Way..." She looked down as she said to herself, saying in a shocked tone, "Is Class D doing the same as Class B? But how does Class D have more points than us? Wait, I don't understand!"

Ichinose turned to Yuto to see him blankly staring at her with a confused frown. "Haha... Sorry for the outburst... haha... I was just confused." Yuto furrowed his brows as he asked in a curious tone, "Mind explaining what you meant by 'Class D doing the same thing as Class B'?"

Ichinose returned a quizzical look as she too stared blankly at Yuto. Ayanokoji sighed as he thought, 'This is awkward...' Ichinose broke the silence with a gasp, "Isn't everyone in Class D trusting you with all their points to avoid reckless spending like my Class?" Yuto blinked twice before letting out a hysterical laugh while holding his stomach.

Ichinose tilted her head to Ayanokoji with a confused smile. Ayanokoji sighed as he replied, "Our class is far too rapacious to trust their private points with someone else." Ichinose blinked rapidly for a moment before her eyes widened as she turned her gaze to Yuto, who was still chuckling with tears forming in his crinkles. Ichinose stuttered, "S-So... all that p-points a-are-"

"Yes. They all are mine," Yuto calmly replied before laughing once again, while patting Ichinose's back profusely. "You thought the nitwits in my class would actually do something like that!" Ichinose started chuckling awkwardly, her smile twitching. Ayanokoji simply stared at the scene with disappointed eyes.

"After a tense meeting in the rabbit group, the VIP was found to be Ayanokoji! Yuto limped out of the room as he let out a satisfying sigh, "That 5000 was worth it! I would have even paid 10,000 if I had known that it would be so entertaining."

Yuto waited for everyone to leave until there were only Kei and Ayanokoji outside the room. He proceeded to walk towards Ayanokoji with a mischievous grin. "That was a nice plan, Kiyo-chan! I wouldn't have been able to tell that Karuizawa was the VIP at first glance if it wasn't for her microexpressions!" Kei's expression paled as she stuttered, "W-What are you talking about!?"

Ayanokoji patted her shoulder as he said, "He already saw through our plan, Karuizawa. Don't worry, we can trust this idiot." Kei nodded with pursed lips. "I didn't expect you of all people to use such foul language," Yuto said with his stoic smile. "People can change due to what's around them," Ayanokoji replied.

Yuto chuckled as he turned around and waved goodbye to the two. Kei looked at Ayanokoji with a pale expression as she asked, "How did he know I was the VIP?" Ayanokoji shrugged as he said, "He is just really good at reading people."

Yuto was walking towards his meeting spot with the rest of Class D when he ran into a familiar face. "Ara ara... If it isn't Rubin-chan!"

Ryuen looked at Yuto with a smirk as he said, "You look pretty happy for someone who just lost the exam." Yuto shrugged, "Well, you won with only 50 more points. Plus!" he paused as he made eye contact with Ryuen, "Aren't you the one who should be pissing their pants right now?" Ryuen frowned as he snarled, "What do you mean?"

Yuto sighed, "In a single week, Class D got 405 class points and stands at 492. To compare, your class has 642 class points right now, which means your class is only leading by 150 class points right now. I wonder if Suzune will fill that gap in the next special exam-"

"She won't," Ryuen hissed as he narrowed his eyes at Yuto. "Tell her this." Ryuen paused with a smirk, "I am going to tear Class D apart and crush that petty willpower of yours."

Yuto chuckled and started to walk past Ryuen. "What's the deal with that guy?" Ibuki asked. "Leave him. He is merely a puppet controlled by Suzune," Ryuen commented as he saw Yuto's figure walking away.

After the summer vacation

"The second term starts today," Sae stated to her class. Yuto stared at the paper in front of him. 'Sports festival, eh?'

"You're all in team Red along with Class A," Sae said with her arms crossed. "Alright! I will carry Team Red to victory!" Sudo shouted as he stood up.

'Idiot,' Yuto thought to himself.

Kapitel 29: Devil lolli!

"Like I said! I will participate in all the voluntary events!" Sudo cried out in excitement as the class discussed what to do for the Sports Fest. Yuto sighed as he got up and hobbled his way to the door, catching everyone's attention in the room. "Where are you going, Kazuki-kun?" Hirata asked with a smile. "Outside," Yuto replied, his expression tinged with a hint of annoyance. "Feel free to continue the discussion. I'm indifferent to whatever decision you make."

As he said that, Yuto left the classroom without waiting for Hirata's response. "He may be good-looking, but that guy pisses me off at times!" Kei voiced her frustration, her arms crossed in irritation. Everyone nodded in agreement. Hirata gestured his hand in denial as he said, "I'm sure Kazuki-kun is just upset about us talking about sports while his leg is in that condition." The entire class suddenly had somber faces as Hirata said that.

Meanwhile, Yuto was waddling down the corridor, thinking aloud, "Man! I really can't stand such boring discussions!"

"Aren't we the same? Fufufu."

Yuto smiled as he looked at Arisu in front of him. "Ah, lolli-chan! What a coincidence!" Arisu looked at him with her usual smile. "Indeed," she paused as her gaze fell on Yuto's splint, then back to his eyes. "Care to join me for a chess match?"

"Fufu... Your performance is as commendable as always, Rodent-kun~," Arisu remarked, her gaze fixed on the chessboard. Yuto chuckled awkwardly. "Well, I still lost, you know..."

"Not everyone is as skilled as me, but you, Rodent-kun, almost pushed me against the corner with nothing but your king. If it was anyone else, I'm confident that they would've lost," Arisu praised. Yuto simply nodded, rising from his seat. "I'll take my leave then." Arisu didn't reply; instead, she simply stared at him with a stoic face. Yuto's smile twitched as he asked, "Or would you like me to accompany you to the dorms, seeing your steed isn't here." Arisu cracked a smile as she replied, "I would like that very much."

Yuto and Arisu began to walk towards the dorms. Too quiet...' Yuto pondered, stealing a glance at Arisu. Eventually, he sighed, breaking the silence, "What's on your mind, Lolli-chan?"

"Took you long enough to ask, Rodent-kun," she remarked. She stopped walking and gazed at the sea to her right. "What did you do in the Island exam?" Yuto's eyes widened slightly for a millisecond before he returned to his stoic face. "Let's see, I fractured my leg, drank piña coladas while relaxing—"

"I've already perused the school records; you never left the island," Arisu interjected, her gaze lingering on the sunset. Yuto sighed audibly, mirroring her stance towards the horizon. "It's hardly fair being the acting chairman's daughter."

"I must say, I was quite shocked when I saw Class A lose more points than I anticipated," Arisu admitted, throwing a glance at Yuto, who in turn looked at her. "Hey, Lolli-chan. We are friends, aren't we? I would appreciate it if you don't tell this to anyone."

"Yes, of course," Arisu smirked. 'Eh? For real?' Yuto thought with an honest surprised reaction. However, Arisu didn't finish speaking, "Under a condition, that is." Yuto's shoulders dropped as he mumbled to himself, "That's more like it. This devil Lolli will see the end of me!" before looking at Arisu with a slight grimace. "What do you want?" Arisu started giggling, looking at Yuto's frown. "It's simple really. Since we are a team, don't hold back at the sports festival."

Yuto nodded, as things were somehow going in his favor. Since he had already showed his athleticism by hunting a shark with Koenji, it would be suspicious if he performed poorly. He had originally planned to sit out due to his 'injury', the Sports Fest was later than he anticipated. Besides, he didn't want to even go to school, limping for another day! 'Quite an easy task, really. I just have to match her expectations and not go over it.'

"Mind walking me to the dorm the whole way?" Arisu asked Yuto, who was in deep thought on how to avoid the attention he would get. "Rodent-kun?" Yuto's thoughts snapped, "Oh, sorry, I was admiring the sunset."

"I'll take your word for it."

The next day at the gym.

"I pulled 82.4!" Sudo exclaimed with enthusiasm as he held the dynamometer. The boys erupted into applause, commending his impressive feat. Meanwhile, Yuto simply observed with keen interest, "Give it a go, Yuto," Sudo urged, thrusting the dynamometer into his hands. "Baka muscle head," Yuto stated, his expression betraying no emotion. A vein bulged on Sudo's temple as he thrust the device towards Yuto once more, his voice escalating, "Let's see your grip strength then!"

Yuto put on a smug face as he began to pull on the dynamometer. Yuto looked at it with a pale face. Sudo burst into laughter, "You didn't even get above 70!" Yuto's face flushed crimson as he launched into a tirade, "69.89 is essentially 70, you imbecile! Muscle head!" Sudo was still laughing, uneffected by Yuto's outburst. Ayanokoji sighed at their antics as he picked up the dynamometer, while the other boys kept their mouths shut as 69.89 was still greater than whatever they could achieve.

As Yuto excused himself to the bathroom, he wiped nothing on his nose as he thought with a smug look, 'Playing chess with that cunning Lolli truly honed my acting skills! Speaking of acting, I wonder what that two-faced bitch is plotting?' He looked over at Kushida chuckling along with a group of girls. 'I wonder why she betrayed the class? Why did she reveal that she was the VIP?'

He shrugged dismissively, 'Eh, I never paid much heed to her. I'll just ask Kiyo-chan later.'
