The bottle containing the unknown syrup was clear in color, with a distinct alcoholic odor. As soon as Maximillian obtained the remaining substance in his hand, he drove to the Bureau right away to store it in its underground cryogenic storage room.

Barely five minutes passed after he safely locked away the bottle when his phone started ringing urgently.

"Yes, Dr. Koch?"

"You called me on Sunday noon," the Institute Director's weary voice was heard from the other end. "What's up? Have you gotten anything interesting into your hands?"

"Indeed," Maximillian replied. "I just don't know what it is yet. I am thinking of asking you to analyse it first thing tomorrow morning. Is it okay?"
