"Danzō, huh? Recruiting him would definitely bring more harm than good."
"He'll do anything to secure a position of power. While he refrains from scheming against Hiruzen, being his childhood friend, it would be a completely different story with anyone else."
"Even you, Madara, wouldn't be safe. He'd likely orchestrate some disaster and pin it on you, causing dissent among your subordinates to bring you down."
"And if he became the leader, he'd constantly be on guard against any powerful or popular subordinate who could threaten his position, eliminating them at the first sign of danger."
"Things like betraying allies for power would be the least of his sins."
Dak shared his impressions and views on Danzō with Madara and Izuna.
Indeed, Danzō did have some redeeming qualities. During Tobirama's era, he was a promising young talent, even considered better than Hiruzen Sarutobi in certain aspects.
But that was under the assumption that Tobirama would choose him as the next Hokage.
Ever since Hiruzen was appointed Third Hokage by Tobirama, Danzō's descent into darkness began.
His initial belief was that his failure to become Hokage was due to his lack of strength compared to Hiruzen.
This marked the beginning of his obsession with acquiring the power of the Senju's Wood Release and the Uchiha's Sharingan.
If not for the Hyūga clan's extreme measures to protect their Byakugan, he would have likely targeted them as well.
"We can't just kill Danzō and be done with it, can we?"
Madara, reveling in his regained strength, seemed eager for action.
"Danzō will die eventually," Dak replied with a sigh. "Before I leave this era, both he and Zetsu must be eliminated. Their existence will inevitably hinder your plans to unify the world."
He then laid out his future plans:
"My original intention was to gradually subdue the Tailed Beasts, as they serve as the bargaining chips for the Five Great Nations. Capturing them for the Akatsuki would not only prevent future wars but also establish the Akatsuki's unparalleled dominance."
"Tailed Beasts? Are those things really considered assets in a war?" Izuna tilted his head in confusion.
To him, Tailed Beasts were nothing more than oversized creatures easily subdued by the Mangekyō Sharingan. Both he and Madara could capture one each with their Susano'o.
"According to Dak, the shinobi of later generations are rather pathetic," Madara teased.
"I never said that," Dak retorted, brushing off the comment. "Since you two seem eager, why not practice on a few Tailed Beasts now?"
He scratched his head, pondering which Tailed Beasts were currently accessible.
"Sounds good. It'll be a decent warm-up."
"Although it hasn't been long for me, I still feel unfamiliar with this body," Izuna remarked, flexing his hands.
Satisfied with the idea, Dak listed the targets:
"There's Bunpuku in Sunagakure's prison—a Jinchūriki of the One-Tail, Shukaku. He's known for peacefully coexisting with his beast and wielding its power effectively."
"Then there's the Three-Tails, Isobu, residing in the central lake of Kirigakure. They haven't managed to seal it into a suitable Jinchūriki yet due to their poor sealing techniques."
"Lastly, the Seven-Tails, Chōmei, in Takigakure. They have yet to find a Jinchūriki for it."
"These three should be good practice. Try recruiting Bunpuku; a mature Jinchūriki like him is hard to come by, and I doubt he wants to rot in Sunagakure's prison. As for the other two, brute force will do. They won't listen unless you beat them into submission."
Madara and Izuna nodded in agreement. They were eager for a challenge that wasn't too weak but not beyond their capabilities.
"Where will we store these Tailed Beasts after capturing them?" Izuna asked.
Dak smiled. "Give them two choices: follow us willingly or be confined. Let's capture them first and decide later."
He added, "To assist with transportation, I'll send someone to support you."
"Your companion? A Pokémon?" Madara raised an eyebrow.
Dak nodded, pointing to his shadow.
From it emerged Darkrai, its white crest and glowing blue flames flickering ominously as it greeted the Uchiha brothers.
Izuna, startled, marveled at its sudden appearance. "Is this an entity born from Yin Release?"
"Darkrai is a mythical Pokémon known as the 'God of Nightmares' in other worlds," Dak explained. "Its true nature? I'm not sure—perhaps it originates from human nightmares themselves."
"And its strength?"
"Strong enough to challenge figures like the Sage of Six Paths or the Rabbit Goddess."
Izuna looked at Darkrai with renewed respect.
"Let's head to Takigakure first. I'll handle the Seven-Tails," Izuna declared confidently.
Madara smirked. "Do as you please."
As the brothers prepared to leave, Dak instructed, "Darkrai will assist you in storing the beasts in its dark void. It will also monitor your surroundings and capture Zetsu if he appears."
"Got it," Madara replied, already eager to act.
With that, the brothers departed, their Pokémon eggs in hand, as Dak watched with anticipation for the chaos they would soon unleash.
Once they were out of sight, Dak turned toward Amegakure's underground exchange point, planning to lay low and experience the world while waiting for Kakuzu and devising his next target.
