Kapitel 15: 15

The work at the agency has increased, John is no longer building anything and he is literally blaming Matthew and me, I found out from the secretary of the head of that organization.

I enter the office fed up, my cheeks burn with helplessness, my head begins to ache from all the things that came to my mind in the form of a shooting star, just from speculating everything John said about us, I opened the door wishing he was sitting down. on the white sofa watching TV, it hasn't arrived yet, I try to control myself, calming my inhalation while inspecting the office.

Matthew enters with the coffee glasses and in his hand a bag of bread so he can have breakfast. But in context I had already lost my appetite and I wanted that guy to arrive.

"But now what are you bringing?" Matthew asks, his gaze showing confusion at my reactions.

"You'll see, be patient," I said while crossing my arms.

"Come, let's have breakfast," he says.

I gladly accepted, I didn't intend for him to notice, but it was unavoidable not to appreciate that feeling, of anger and helplessness. You can say anything about me, I still don't know this job perfectly, but I was tarnishing Matthew's name and that wouldn't condescend him.

I take the bread with my hands for breakfast, I bite the bread well, but I swear I don't miss the bite.

"Hello guys," John exclaims as he enters.

—I wanted to see you—I get up from the seat quickly, I lunge at him, pinning him against the wall, placing my hand on his chest. —First and last time that you invent things about us, you heard.

—Well, it's the truth, I do everything here, you guys will surely disappear. Matthew will fuck you, but I don't think he has to do it well, because of your bad face every morning—. Laugh

"What do you care, don't get involved in what you're not called for," she shouted, annoyed.

“Calm down Julia,” Matthew says, his gaze serene and passive as if nothing John said bothered him.

"It's not fair Matthew," I said, looking at him with tears in my eyes, "you more than anyone have fought for your job and for who you are."

—Calm down—He frowns and turns to look at John—What needs to be done?

—Well, the market study and the surveys—John fixes his gaze on me.

"Well, let's do it," I snatch the documents that John was bringing and leave the office, I hated him, with every particle and thought inside me.

I leave for the car giving my best smile to each and every one of the employees, it is better that no one finds out about the difficulties we have with John, suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulder.

“How are we doing, Julia, with the market study?” comments the boss.

"Very well sir, we're going perfectly." I lied to his answer, usually when I lie I tend to turn my eyes to the other side and not look at the person directly.

—Thank you Julia, I don't know what we would do without you—she smiles—I hope you can have it by tomorrow.

—We are here to serve you—my gaze fixes on him, but I really wanted to leave, we still had nothing.

I get into the car, at the same time that Matthew starts to turn it on, I board to inspect each document, but it had almost no research, the surveys without paragraphs and some very stupid questions.

I start to transcribe everything again, I connect the data from my cell phone and I start to investigate more about the topic of the product that they wanted to implement, my father has persistently said if you are going to do things well, do them, but if you won't, you better not even bother. bother doing them.

This is based on experiment and error and if you want to be the 1st place with buyers you must take the risk, invest until your product is the best and turns out as you imagined, the clients are the ones who will give you the approval and they are the ones that you must please with your product.

Matthew laughed loudly and made my thoughts disappear completely, fixing my gaze on him.

"What are you laughing at?" I say.

—You look beautiful when you get angry—he fixes his gaze on me—I love when your nose wrinkles at your angry look.

—Look how good it is that you mention it so I'll get angry more often—my hand rests on his, where it rested, for a moment it's all I want in life.

—I love you in an exceptional way and I wouldn't change anything about you, not even your slightest flaw—kiss my lips.

"Do you think we'll finish today?" I ask.

—Mm, I don't know, little one, at least we should do a maximum of 50 surveys and with this weather I don't think we'll finish.

I watch as the sun hides and the clouds get cloudy, it's starting to get a little cold, I curse I didn't bring a sweater.

We got out of the car and started work, I started on the right side while Matthew did it on the left side, I boarded to stop people and started the surveys, the company's product seemed a little unusual to me but refreshing, did it? chipotle chili and chocolate chips? Seriously, the crowd would eat them up.

I manage to finish all my surveys, I sit in a fountain thinking about my friends, but above all about my family, now I know all the sacrifices my father had to make by being somewhere else for work. I missed talking to him, sitting at the table and admiring him, because even though he is sometimes angry he is a wonderful individual with whom you can have a comforting talk.

But then I think about Matthew because when your heart belongs to someone you know that when you look at it you feel at home, because every time we get to the hotel, I can sense something about my father in him, maybe his way of being, how angry or simple. and simply how he makes me happy when he is by my side. That was his magic and I just fell into it.

Out of the corner of my eye I could see Matthew's silhouette, I could distinguish him even with my eyes closed, he approached little by little while I pretended not to see him.

—Finish—his gaze is tired.

"I'm so glad, we're leaving, I'm driving and you're very tired," he said.

"No, I'm driving, I'm not tired," he shows his perfect smile.

"Then I still don't want to leave," I say.

"Let's go, it's going to start raining and I don't want the water to catch us," he says.

—Well, let it rain, I won't move—I mutter, with my arms crossed.

"Are you sure of what you're saying?" he frowned and with his hands he prepared to pick me up.

—Matthew, you can't do that, my whole butt is showing.

—Well, let them see that all that is mine and only I can touch it.

We take the surveys to the office, we just need to get the results for tomorrow's meeting in order to complete our participation in the company.
