After hearing what Vanessa said, it did seem like Eddison was aware of this.

Vanessa continued, "Although Eddison had always been a quiet child, he's a kind soul who values his relationship with others. We were in his office at 4:30 this afternoon. He had plenty of time to inform you about our arrival, but he didn't. He only asked for the driver to pick you up. He didn't know how to tell you this."
