Kapitel 46: Chapter 46 Don\'t Be Afraid, I\'m Here!

Looking at the video call request on her mobile phone, Caroline actually felt like her savior was here. She quickly accepted the call. 

Almost instantly, Eddison's handsome face appeared on the screen. He was sitting in the back seat of the car and was not driving. Instead, his eyes were locked firmly on her through the phone screen.

Caroline felt as if she was being guarded by him. Suddenly, a slight relief rushed through her.

The rain was still falling. As lightning and thunder flashed outside the window, her lips trembled.

"Why didn't you turn on the light?" Eddison finally asked.

"It's not dark yet. It's fine," Caroline answered. She tried to pull the chair over and sit down. 

However, Eddison insisted, "Turn on the lights. The office is quite dark."

"... Ok," Caroline did as he said. It was as though she could feel a little more at ease from doing so.

After she turned on the lights, the office became much brighter. She felt much safer doing so.
