"Eddison, are you trying to provoke me?" Caroline suddenly calmed down. It was as though she had found a loophole in his words and was planning to use them against him. She had a sense of superiority and was no longer angry.

Eddison smirked and bopped her nose with his finger playfully. He said, "Yes, can you accept it?"

Caroline shoved his hand away and snorted, "Since you've already admitted that you're trying to provoke me, it would be more than reasonable for me to take up your offer just for the sake of myself and the baby in my womb, am I right?"

Eddison was finally satisfied with her answer. He went to take a bath and change into some clothes.

Beryl was almost done preparing breakfast. A while ago, she looked out from the kitchen and noticed how Master Zellweger had trapped his wife on the sofa. The extent of intimacy between the couple sent her shyness peaking. She could not bring herself to steal a second glance.
