Kapitel 65: Chapter 65: Mud
"Sandstorm!"
A small, tornado-like vortex appeared in Crocodile's hands. He didn't intend to kill Luo Ning and the others, so he used this attack with low lethality.
The Sand quickly grew larger, transforming into a full-blown sandstorm. Anyone caught in it wouldn't have a pleasant experience.
"One hundred thousand volts, discharge!"
Before Luo Ning could react, Nami raised her hand and unleashed a 100,000-volt attack. It was similar to Pikachu's move, but unfortunately, even in Pikachu's hands, this wouldn't be lethal.
Nami's electric shock blasted towards Crocodile quickly.
The electric current struck Crocodile, only to dissipate harmlessly against the swirling sand.
"Thunderbolt? A Thunder Fruit user?"
Crocodile was surprised. As a Logia Devil Fruit user, he was naturally familiar with the Thunder Fruit, rumored to be the strongest among Logia types. However, in his opinion, Nami was still far too weak.
Nami's attack couldn't restrain Crocodile. She lacked Haki, and seastone or seawater wouldn't work on him. Nami was powerless against this opponent.
"You're too weak now. You can't do anything to him. In the future, perhaps you could use the high heat generated by lightning to directly turn him into glass, but not yet."
Luo Ning shook his head but wasted no time. With a terrifying swing, he unleashed a powerful wave of air that directly shattered the sand.
Luo Ning didn't rely on superpowers or monstrous strength. He simply manipulated the airflow to create this devastating attack.
"Impossible! Is that guy a Devil Fruit user too?"
Crocodile couldn't believe his sandstorm was dispersed with a wave of the hand. The only exceptions he could imagine were monstrous pirates like Whitebeard, whose shadow loomed large over him.
He and Gecko Moria were like brothers in misfortune. Back then, they both challenged emperors - Crocodile against Whitebeard and Moria against Kaido - and both were utterly defeated.
"Devil Fruit user? No way"
Luo Ning closed the distance between them in an instant, leaving Crocodile no time to react. Fortunately, Crocodile was in his element form.
Faced with Luo Ning's terrifying punch, Crocodile's body instantly dispersed into countless grains of sand.
"That was a terrifying speed! Thank goodness for my elementalization, otherwise that punch..."
Crocodile couldn't help but shiver as he recalled the near hit.
Just as Crocodile reformed his body, another figure attacked Luo Ning. This was Daz Bones, a Paramecia Dice-Dice Fruit user who could transform his body into sharp blades.
In that moment, Daz's fingers had morphed entirely into blades, slashing towards Luo Ning.
Undeterred, Luo Ning raised his hand to meet Daz's attack. Daz's transformed blades met Luo Ning's hand head-on.
CLANG!
A sound of metal echoed as Daz's attack failed to pierce Luo Ning's defenses.
"Stay down"
Daz had already reached Luo Ning when his body abruptly went limp, causing him to collapse to the ground.
"What's happening? I can't move!"
Daz's face contorted in horror.
"Don't struggle. I've turned your body into mud," Luo Ning declared calmly.
Luo Ning had indeed infused his body with Visionary's Power, transforming Daz's form into a gelatinous mess.
Daz was utterly powerless.
After all, how can a mud-like body stand?
Everyone, witnessing Daz's predicament and Luo Ning's explanation, froze in fear, each fearing they might be next.
Daz's slimy form restricted his movement.
Any attempt to move could cause his flesh to clump together in a grotesque manner.
None of them dared to make a move against Luo Ning; the prospect of turning into mud was a powerful deterrent.
"What kind of ability is this?"
Crocodile, who had witnessed the scene unfold, was drenched in cold sweat. He was immensely grateful for his Logia Devil Fruit; if the other party could turn his body into that grotesque slime, he might actually wish for death.
But with his body resembling mud, Daz was rendered useless. He was Crocodile's strongest subordinate, and now he was utterly incapacitated.
"Crocodile, what do you think a Logia user fears most?"
Luo Ning's question, delivered with a smirk, left everyone bewildered. Nami, however, having transformed into an element herself, seemed to grasp Luo Ning's intentions.
Robin and the others, clueless about Luo Ning's next move, felt an urge to flee after witnessing Nami's reaction. However, the fear of being attacked themselves kept them rooted to the spot.
"What are you planning?"
A sense of foreboding washed over Crocodile.
"It seems the answer eludes you," Luo Ning said with a wider grin. "Let me enlighten you – it's water!"
