Bel ate breakfast with a glum look on her face. It didn't take long for her to discover that Davien was nowhere to be found in the chambers. She had asked Giselle about it, not because she was curious, but because she also wanted to avoid him. Giselle told her he had left the chambers even before the lights had been turned on. Bel was relieved by this, but her mood didn't improve.
"Is the food not to your liking?" Giselle asked.
Bel raised her head, horrified. She had completely forgotten she wasn't alone. "Oh, no. It's just wonderful. I was lost in thought for a moment."
"Well, alright. Don't hesitate to tell me if something is a little off. I will make sure to correct anything that you might not like." Giselle smiled at her, and Bel smiled back before she returned to her meal.
"I shall go now," Giselle said. "If you need anything, please call me."
