Kapitel 8: Chapter 8: The Spying Game
The next day.
The sun shone brightly, the bird chirped loudly as I sat under a gazebo in the garden inside the yard of the palace listening to Princess Petra through an earpiece.
"Keep my hair in a sideweep, I want it to look good today," she ordered the maid.
"Yes my lady."
"Which cream do you think will make my skin look more dazzling?"
"The cocoa butter works well for your skin my lady, would you like me to apply some for you?"
"Don't use too much."
So far they're only talking about normal stuff.
"My lady, is it true that Princess Elizabeth's Fiance will be coming I'm a few days?"
Oh, it seems something interesting has been brought up.
"Tch, servants shouldn't stick their nose into the business of royalty."
"I'm sorry."
"It's true that he's coming to spend time with his fiance. Tch, that damn lowly sister of mine, I'm 20 and still single, why the hell does she get to marry of to a prince before me?"
"Yes, especially, when you're so beautiful and so smart. Every man should be falling at your feet and worshipping you."
"Enough with the babbling and get on with it."
"Yes My Lady..."
"That's that," I muttered as I took off my earpiece.
"Gem, there you are," Elizabeth called.
"Princess Elizabeth, good morning, is there something you need?" I wondered.
"Nothing really, I was wondering if you would accompany me around the palace."
"You want me to accompany you...Sure I guess."
"Wonderful."
With Olivia and Elie by Elizabeth's side, I accompanied her on a walk.
"So Gem, how did your registration go?" Elizabeth wondered.
"It went well, I became a Bounty Hunter and got my identification card."
"That's wonderful. Doesn't this mean you'll start going around hunting for criminals and bringing them to the authorities."
"Well not yet, I haven't decided."
"I see...Well if there is nothing you need, please let me know."
"I heard your fiance is coming in a few days."
"Where did you hear that?"
"Around the palaces, the maids love gossiping," I replied.
"Yes, he is coming today," she stated, then her expression became sad.
"It doesn't sound like you're too happy," I asked concernedly.
"What are you talking about? Of course Princess Elizabeth is happy that her fiance is coming!" Olivia exclaimed.
I glared at her. "If I recall correctly I was talking to Elizabeth, buzz off," I spoke.
"Why you..."
"She's right, I am happy, just a little nervous that's all. To be honest, I only met him once when I was a little girl, now to be engaged to someone I only met once can be intimidating."
Wow, this world is messed up. I learned that you can get married as young as 12 years old and your partner isn't arranged by you but by your parents. If you are nobility or royalty, you can get married to someone whom you haven't seen before. When you are a commoner then you can choose whom you want to love and marry but then a marriage between commoner and noble is strictly forbidden.
I put my hand behind my head. "It sucks to me you right how," I said with a sigh.
Suddenly, I heard a clanging sound and when I looked, a group of knights were gathered together. They were all in pairs sparring with each other and their captain was watching.
"Who are they?" I queried.
"They are the new recruits for the Knight Order," Elizabeth explained.
"Hmm..."
"...You seem interested."
"Like hell I am, I prefer guns to swords."
"What are... Guns?"
"Guns are the weapons I used earlier, they use explosives called gunpowder to fire small metal balls at the speed of sound," I explained. "It's a million times better than the bows and crossbows you use."
Elizabeth gasped, "Wow, that sounds amazing."
Her eyes blazed with interest.
"That's impossible, no weapon is able to reach that kind of velocity, you're making it up," Olivia stated as she fumed.
I glanced at her with a smirk. "Would you like to see?" I queried.

Gemini and the others went over to an empty, training area for archery. 100 metres before them were turrets with a red dot in the centre. Gemini took out one of her assault rifles and all three of them gasped when they saw it.
"It's that strange device you used before, is that what you call a gun?" Elizabeth wondered.
"Yes, this is a gun called an Assault Rifle, now watch carefully and cover your ears," Gemini instructed.
All three of them covered their ears as they watched it be closed.
*Clak! Clock! Clock!...*
After loading the cartridge, Gemini pulled the bolt handle, aimed her gun at the target and glared at it. Her eyes suddenly changed, to black with a digital scanner and inside her eyes she was analysing the distance, wind speed and waited for her vision to change to green before she started firing.
Gemini pulled the trigger once and suddenly there were multiple explosions repeatedly ringing.Elizabeth and the others shrieked by the loud explosions as they covered their ears tighter. The shots stopped firing, the muzzle of her gun smoked, Gemini glared ahead at her target and her eyes returned back to normal. She breathed a sigh of relief then she rested her gun on her shoulder as she turned to Elizabeth and the others.
"That's it for the demonstration," she announced.
Elizabeth and the other's glanced at the target then they became surprised by what they saw. They targeted a small hole in them but the wall behind it had a massive hole carved in my molten lava. Suddenly the heat caused the target to ignite and burst into flames.
"Wow, that's so powerful!" Elizabeth mumbled in awe.
'Extremely powerful, even I wouldn't be able to stand a chance against a weapon like that, it would rip me to shreds. I've never heard of weapons like these before, just who is this girl," Olivia thought to herself while she shuddered with fear.
"If you want, I can teach you how to use it," Gemini offered.
"You can?" Elizabeth asked, all in excitement.
"Master, I'm afraid you can't do that. Any weapon provided by the system can't be used by anyone else but you," Bunny explained.
Gemini smiled. "I remember you can't."
Elizabeth inclined her head in bewilderment. "Why not?"
"It's complicated, anyways let's go," She suggested.
Gemini and Elizabeth continued touring the castle together.
Later that night, while everyone was sleeping, Gemini was hiding in a tree in the garden and looking at Princess Petra's room with a pair of binoculars.

Without even trying," Bunny sang.
Where the hell did she learn such a song?
"Huh? quietly something is happening," I whispered.
A robe was thrown out the window then Petra climbed the robe down. She had on a half white half black mask and a black robe over a bright orange dress. She glanced left. Then she glanced right and began to run close to the wall.
"Where the hell is she going?" I queried to myself.
"Maybe she's going to meet someone secretly, perhaps a lover."
"No, I don't think she's the type to have a secret lover, she's too prideful for that. Maybe she's going to meet with the people who attacked Elizabeth."
I secretly followed her.
See rank through the garden avoiding each of the guard that she encounter and suddenly, she chanted something then became invisible.
"She vanished," Bunny explained.
It seems she can use an invisible spell but lucky for these eyes, I can see heat signature so it's useless to hide from me even if you're invisible. She casually ran past the guard and made her way out the gate. I followed behind her by leaping over the dense and leaped from house to house like a ninja.
"Where is this woman going?" I queried.
She suddenly turned off into a back alley, then went into one of the buildings through the back door.
"Sure enough, she's meeting someone in private."
I have to find a way in...Hm? I smirked ominously as my opportunity arrived.
"Can't, hold it in!"
One of the waiters came out to take a leak in the corner and he whistled while doing it. When he was done he turned around and he saw me while I'm in my male form.
"Who are you?"
"I'm sorry bro, this is going to hurt you more than it hurts me."
I kicked him one egg nugget and a sour expression swallowed his face.
"Sorry bro, as a fellow man I feel your pain but don't worry you'll still have a boner fufufufu," I giggled as I stripped him down to his underwear while he was still passed out.
"Master, you're so ruthless."
"His suits fit perfectly, kinda tight around the crotch but okay," I muttered as I fixed my bow tie and the headphone on my head. "Now let's see, the princess is here to meet."
I pushed the door then walked down the dark corridor and opened the door. I was blinded by the light for a second and when my vision came back my jaw dropped.
"Fufufufufu."
"Hahahahaha."
"You're so naughty Fufufufu."
