Kapitel 56: Turns Me On

Roselia couldn't call the Tiberias Pack House her home. To her, it was just another roof over her head. Would there be a day she felt right at home? Today wasn't those days. As she entered, everything was as lifeless and monotone as she remembered. Dark furniture. Dark walls. Not even a hint of life or color could grace this place without being sucked of joy by the Tiberias brothers.

"Noah is at school," Cruden said, noticing her curious glance. "When he comes back, he'll come running like a golden retriever wagging his tail."

What's that supposed to mean? Roselia glanced at her husband in name. There was a hint of bitter irritation, his sharp jaw locked by his own words. A vein ticked. He turned to her.

"You've had a long day. Go and rest up." Cruden caressed the back of her head, slow and soft.

"I'm not a pet."
