Cersei was in the gardens with Rickon and little Eddard. She watched as they ran and played with the direwolves. Greywind had been so sad but Eddard took care of him. He cuddled and palyed with the animal until the Greywind was almost back to his old rowdy self.
Little Ned giggled as Rickon chased him. She laughed happily. Cersei saw as Jon sat by her. He did not speak for a long time.
"Let it out." Cersei said gently.
"I am leaving to King's Landing." He said bluntly.
"Does your father know?" She asked immediately.
"He does." Jon finished. "It is time I leave. I will write to you every week."
Cersei smiled and took his hand. "She does not deserve you." Her son stiffened.
"Mother." He said with a deep tone.
Lady Stark waved him away. "The girl has suffered. So have you. Go to King's Landing. Be careful. Do not trust anyone, not even her."
Jon kissed her hand, "I thought you liked her. Do you not trust her?"
Cersei shook her head. "Not with you. I trust her to be a good leader. I still think Fire and Ice should never mix."
Jon frowned. It was Cersei's turn to kiss her son's hand. "Your father however is wiser than I could ever be. He reminded me that Fire and Ice already mixed and you were the result."
Jon smiled at her. "I hope you are happy sweetling. You seem happier."
"I am learning to recover. It is sad that I will never have that." He pointed to Rickon and Eddard.
Cersei smiled, "perhaps you will. Nothing is written in stone. We thought dragons were dead. The world did not think the dead would rise and they did. Stranger things have happened my love."
Jon sighed, "I will not have her suffer like that. I almost lost her."
Cersei nodded, "never pull away from her like that. She seems to have forgiven you but remember this sweeling; sex will not bring her back from a second disappointment. You were always too serious, a martyr without a cause. You suffered but she suffered a hundred times more. The girl lost her babe and her husband that same night."
Jon looked impossibly unconfortable. "She will not forgive you once more. It is not in her nature to do so again. Be careful, be steady and be there. This was your last chance but you made your choice. It is now only yours to face. She gave you an out but you chose your in."
Her son smiled. "I cannot stay away from her. I burn for her. I imagine my life without her and it is a hundred times worse."
Cersei kissed his hands. "Your mother will see you off tomorrow morning."
Her son nodded and hugged her.
It was late that night when Ned came to her. He sought her warmth. "They are fucking again." He said as he brought her to him.
"He is leaving with her." He continued.
Cersei sighed. "He is."
Ned waited a few minutes before asking. "Will you be fine with that?"
Cersei nodded, "have you noticed how miserable he looked. He was sad, wasting, pining for her. He goes with her, at least he can say he tried to be happy with the girl."
They were quiet for a few minutes.
Ned kissed her neck. Cersei giggled when he moved to bite her shoulder. "I wonder when you will stop."
Her husband looked confused. "Stop what?" He asked as he rubbed his member against her backside.
"Fucking me." She moaned when he brought her hands to the front of her gown.
"Never. I will fuck you with my fingers and my tongue when I can't with my cock." He said filthily as he readied her. "I would buy you a wooden cock if you wanted too."
Cersei gasped when he entered her. "Your cock is more than enough." She sighed when he began to move. He was gentle until he was not. Ned fucked her well into the mattress. She sighed and loved when he grabbed her hips and jerked frantically inside of her.
She woke up the next morning bright and early. Little Ned was asleep but Rickon was up and ready to say his goodbyes to his brother. The boy behaved himself as they lined up to fare well to the Queen and prince of Westeros.
They would ride Rhaegal and Drogon. Ned and Cersei would send Jon's clothes and Ghost with his men. Jon had told his men that he would leave for the South the night before. He was grateful for their help but it was time to go to King's Landing with his wife and queen. A wildling, Cersei did not think she would ever think of them as free folk, said that he would go with him. Soon all of the men agreed to go South as well. It helped that these were all young men without attachments. Jon nodded and smiled. "I shall wait for you in the Capital my friends."
Cersei was happy about that development. Her son would have loyal men to him. A small army that he could raise to protect him.
Cersei did not cry when it was time. She smiled and kissed Jon. "You have a dragon. Come a visit your mother once in a while." She whispered and kissed his hands.
Jon nodded and kissed her cheeks and forehead. He hugged her once more. "I love you mama." He said and held her tightly.
Jon then ruffled Rickon's hair. Rickon hugged him. "I don't want you to go." The boy whined.
"I have to go." Jon said and tickled him. "I will send you the most beautiful horse."
Rickon brightened. "You and Eddard will come to King's Landing once you are old enough." Jon said and tickled him once more.
Cersei watched as the queen stiffened a little. Jon was sure that his young brother and nephew would be welcomed with open arms. Cersei would never let them leave by themselves. Ned or her would go as well.
Jon and his father hugged briefly. "Write to your mother." He said and went back to Cersei.
The queen said her goodbyes as well. "Thank you Lady Stark; for everything." She said gently.
"Take care of him. Make sure he eats. He forgets sometimes." Cersei said just as softly.
Daenerys smiled. She said goodbye to Ned and mounted Drogon. Jon followed suit. Soon they were in the skies flying away.
Rickon's ran away, inside to the halls. Cersei and Ned stayed back in the courtyard; even after they all the men went back to their chores.
"It is done. He is gone." Ned said.
Cersei laughed, "Why is it so hard for us to let go of him? The rest of our children are away from us too. Tommen is happy in the Riverlands. Joanna and her children are in Essos. Only the gods know where Arya and her Baratheon are. Bran is lost to us to and our Robb is gone."
Ned smiled sadly. "Only Robb is truly lost to us."
Cersei nodded and leaned into him. She sighed, "Jon is special."
It was Ned's time to laugh, "he always has been. He brought us together. If it were not for him. There would be no Robb, no Joanna, Tommen, Arya, Bran or Rickon."
"It is only us now." Cersei sighed.
Ned shook his head, "no, we have Rickon and little Eddard."
Lady Stark smiled, "Jon and Robb before the twins."
Ned kissed her forehead. "They do look like them." He said and took her back inside the castle.
