Kapitel 47: (XLVII) Growing Pains (Part One)

Mikaru led Maria away from the bustling cantina recreational area, where guild members, potential recruits, and the general public drank strong alcohol and ate fresh, delicious food. 

The Darkwing Guild had grown rather popular over the last couple of weeks thanks to Leon's unparalleled prowess at gathering talented individuals and acquiring properties that generated profits hand over fist. 

The pair walked down the hallway, around the corner, to a small office that Mikaru assigned to himself and not the guild master's office that was up the staircase where he had destroyed the desk previously. 

The small office had deep mahogany walls adorned with ornate tapestries featuring mythical creatures and intricate designs. A single large window covered the entire wall and was enchanted with one of Leon's inventions. It allowed the office inhabitants to see into the cantina, but they could not see in.
