Kapitel 17: Galen Vs White Falcon

The large open-air arena was divided into three areas.

On the left and right side of the arena, the battle had already ended.

The people from the three major adventuring groups had easily captured victory with a near-crushing stance.

Whether it was equipment or skills, the solo adventurers were vastly different from their opponents.

At this moment, the only place where the battle was still going on was the center arena.

The two sides in the battle were a stout man with two axes.

As well as an old man carrying a short bow.

The oldest man's physique was thin, and his mottled white hair was tied into a short ponytail at the back of his head.

It was the stall grandpa that Galen had encountered when he was in the trading plaza earlier.

The huge magic crystal suspended above the ring displayed the information of the opponents.

[Name: Sean Tracy]

[Profession: Ranger]

[Adventurer Rating: Intermediate]

...

The grandpa named Sean, who seemed to have problems with his eyes, had only shot one arrow with his short bow in the opening scene, and his accuracy was still way off.

Most of the time, the boss was rolling and dodging.

The axe-wielding berserker, who was his opponent, chased and crushed him the entire time.

This was supposed to be a match that ended quickly as well.

Just because of the Boss Master's escape tactics, it was stretched out hard.

In the audience, many people let out boos.

They hadn't shelled out money for tickets just to watch this kind of match.

The double axe-headed berserker from the Griffin Adventure Troupe also seemed to feel a bit tired of it.

The Berserker stood his ground and stopped chasing, shouting towards the old man, ''Old man stop running, I'll give you a chance to surrender yourself. Otherwise, if I go down with an axe, your pension will have to explode!"

The oldest man snorted and gave his middle finger, "Silly beep."

The axe-wielding man's forehead corner jumped, and as a Berserker, the last thing he needed to contain was his inner rage.

"Throw against the current!"

The Berserker roared, the muscles in his right arm suddenly bulging as he threw the short plate axe in his hand at the boss man.

The throw only had pure power and speed, and neither of them were outstanding, clearly just a mid-level skill.

The latter rolled on the ground and managed to dodge the flying axe.

Although the oldest master was old, his movements and reflexes were not the least bit inferior to those of a young ranger.

"That's it huh? Stupid beep."

Galen in the audience felt that if this old man had a stronger physique, it might be a good choice to specialize as a shield position.

"Seek death!"

The Berserker stepped down heavily and charged at Sean in a brute-like stance.

Brute Bull Charge!

Sean also stopped dodging, it was as if he was waiting for this moment.

Rapid fire!

His fingers were like butterflies, his bow was strung in a split second.

Only a series of buzzing sounds could be heard in the field.

Five arrows had shot towards the Berserker.

Since bad eyes affected the hits.

Then Sean would use a ranged strike to force a hit!

The Berserker who was under the "Brute Charge" was unable to dodge.

Puh-puh-puh-puh ...

With an arrow in each of his knees, stomach and shoulder, the Berserker's body fell to the ground, and with inertia, he tumbled to Sean's side, where the Boss stamped his foot on his chest, and aimed his short bow at the Berserker's face.

The reversal came so suddenly that the audience stage erupted.

Galen was the first to applaud, and in the sound of "popping", drove up the atmosphere of the whole audience.

"I'll go, this grandpa is a bit powerful."

"Five arrows in a second, I'm afraid this hand speed would require him to be single for decades!"

"Your focus is wrong, right? The magic crystal shows that this grandpa is an intermediate adventurer, your intermediate skills have this kind of expressive power?"

"The ones sent out by the three major adventure groups to answer the battle are all upper level adventurers, the berserkers on the opposite side haven't even had the chance to use their advanced skills yet, this is obviously taking the enemy lightly."

In any case, this wave of victory by the Boss Master had boosted the morale of the group of adventurers who were about to compete.

However, in the next match, it was the people from the three big adventuring groups who had thus learned their lesson and came out without holding back any longer, directly bombarding them with a set of high-level skills.

The intermediate adventurers who came in with the lowest entry standard were hardly competitive at all.

Only the upper level adventurers were able to compete with the three big adventure groups.

However, the gap in equipment was still obvious, and often once they were on the field, they were suppressed by the onslaught of the three big adventure groups.

There were only a handful of them that could fight back and win like the Boss.

"Damn, what's the point of this?"

"I thought the first round of screening was hard enough, but I didn't realize that in the second round, the three big adventure groups directly lost their faces!"

"The main reason is that the equipment of the three big adventure groups is too good, their whole body is full of excellent equipment, those with weaker attack power can't fight at all."

Hearing those murmurs, Galen was also a bit apprehensive.

Other than that, his attack power was indeed not too outstanding.

Touching the small round shield hanging on his waist.

Galen's hope could only be pinned on the upgraded Shield Throw.

Galen's eighty-two bracelet, at this time, emitted a rhythmic halo of light.

This was a reminder that the match was about to begin.

Half an hour later, Galen's name appeared on the magic crystal.

[Galen O'Shield]

[Profession: Shield Guard]

[Adventurer rating: Intermediate]

" Eh? It's actually a shield guard?"

"I've heard that in the first round of screening, shield guards are the hardest to pass."

"After passing the first round by fluke, it's impossible for him to pass the second round, a shield guard, or an intermediate level adventurer, even if someone's upper level adventurer stands and lets him attack, this guy called Gailen may not even be able to break through the defense."

At this time, Galen's opponent's information, was also displayed on the magic crystal.

[Name: White Falcon]

[Profession: Magic Swordsman]

[Adventurer Rating: Superior]

"Holy crap! It's White Falcon? A genius adventurer of this level is actually playing in person?"

"Intermediate against superior, and the opponent is also a White Falcon, this Galen is too unlucky."

"You can't say that, an intermediate shield guard can't win no matter who he's up against, and if he can last a little longer in the hands of the White Falcon, he might even be able to gain some fame as a result."

"Hey, do you guys think there's a possibility that the White Falcon himself is coming down to the arena just to target this Galen?"

...

In the midst of the discussion, Galen put on his full-coverage helmet and walked towards the ring with great strides.

Some of the spectators who were closer to Galen looked at the man with astonished faces.

A suit of armor so cheap that it wasn't even good enough for normal quality.

A shield that had obviously been overhauled

This guy was Galen? And he was worthy of fighting against the White Falcon?

In contrast to Galen's grounded appearance.

The White Falcon who descended from the sky with the help of a magic cloak was clearly more stunning.

The female audience cheered and applauded the White Falcon's appearance.

Under the mask Galen skimmed his lips.

If it wasn't for the fact that the match hadn't even started yet, he could have thrown his shield out just now, causing this fancy guy to land on his ass.

Today's White Falcon was still not wearing a helmet.

Her half-length black hair was slightly unruly in the wind, carrying a kind of messy beauty.

Paired with her fair skin and clear features.

Regardless of gender, White Falcon could be considered an outstanding beauty.

White Falcon scrutinized Galen, her eyebrows, which were more heroic than beautiful, slightly furrowed, and her voice was clear and cold as she said, "You're just going to wear this piece of trash to fight me?"

The equipment she was wearing was of excellent quality at worst.

As for the sword at White Falcon's waist, it was a solid piece of exquisite equipment.

Galen spread his hands, "As a newly promoted intermediate adventurer, what else do you want me to wear to fight you?"

The White Falcon didn't believe Galen's bullshit at all and said coldly, "An intermediate level adventurer? I don't know what method you used to fool the guild.

But you definitely won't be an intermediate level adventurer."

Galen nodded his head quite agreeably and said, "Yeah, I also think there's a big problem with the Adventurer's Guild's rating."

I have to be at least master level, right?
