Kapitel 73: Pulling some strings?

As the car started, it passed by Joe Louise's car. Through the slowly rising window, he caught a glimpse of Cynthia Shannon's face.

The woman didn't notice his gaze, her face filled with a bright and charming smile as she faced another man.

Joe absentmindedly watched the Rolls-Royce drive past him.

Did Cynthia leave the Louise Corporation and jump ship to another company? Otherwise, why would she be here?

Perhaps he was too engrossed in his thoughts that he didn't hear his assistant's words. "Mr. Louise?"

Only when the assistant spoke again did Joe snap back to his senses. He took a moment to compose himself and asked in a deep voice, "Has Mr. Charles from the Quinn Corporation arrived for the appointment?"

"Mr. Charles is able to arrive on time."

"Let's go to Pasta Bar first," Joe said.
