Adric didn't know when it started or why it had to be Oriana of all people. From their characters, they were the worst and most incompatible couple, but then it happened. It took him some time, but he finally realized that all his past actions weren't because he was using the girl. He had always been interested in Oriana though he had tried so much to ignore it and act like he didn't care.

If it had started the very first day he saved her from getting beat up, Adric didn't know but he was amused to see a princess act so carefree. That very day she stepped down from the carriage and fell, Oriana had piqued Adric's interest, and then he had to follow her. Though her life was pitiful, she still spoke with so much confidence like she wasn't affected by her situation, and that was exactly how she grew up.
