An unrest in the Ryugu palace
King Neptune was busy making love with queen Otohime in his personal chambers. He was preparing for a third child.
But unknown to him, one of his royal guards, was just about to betray him.
There lovemaking was interrupted when the emergency siren and the palace suddenly got activated.
The emergency siren will only alert everyone in the palace in two conditions.
First, if someone from outside enters the personal chambers of king without permission and second was if the dungeon is infiltrated.
Obviously King Neptune was annoyed by the interruption. But from the pattern in which the siren was ringing he knew that it was the dungeon. So he was relieved that he has sometime before guards would come and alert him about the situation.
"*moan* Dear ! Shouldn't you check on what is happening." Otohime was worried. After all it was the first time she was hearing the emergency alarm going on.
"Don't worry dear, I will check it out soon."with that the couple went on even more vigorously than before. Otohime almost passed out from the intense love making. But they wear able to finish just in time before the guard knocked at their door.

Neptune was regretting making love while the alarm was going on. He was really regretting it. If he had checked it out sooner then he might be able to protect the sacred treasure of the royal family.
For a moment he couldn't believe that one of his royal guards have betrayed him. Of the other royal guards he deducted it. Kuroshaku was the only one missing from his duties after all.
Neptune was deeply ashamed that, he has failed as the king.
But then he reconsidered the report from his guards.
Kuroshaku was one of the royal guards. Royal cards were meant to protect the family members of the royal line. When he thought about it carefully then he realised that in reality none of the royal guards where aware about the contains of the secret treasure in the dungeon. It might have been possible for a guard to guess that something valuable was in the dungeon when they accompanied him in his visits to it, but it was impossible for Kuroshaku as he was assigned to guard queen Otohime. And after becoming the queen, Otohime has never gone to dungeon.
Neptune was aware about how loyal Otohime really was. So he never doubted her passing the information.
But then he remembered the story that has been passed down from generations. About the birth of the Sun God and Poseidon.
'Is it something else or is it really going to happen soon ?'

"I don't understand why we are discussing this topic after so many years." Saint Mars, one of the five star elders spoke.
"At least we had some leads on that fruit every now and then even if we never managed to acquire it for ourselves." Saint Ju Peter spoke.
"Fortunately we had changed it's name so that even someone ate it, we won't be affected by much." Saint Warcury spoke.
"But this devil fruit, had disappeared from the face of the planet, as if it never existed before. Not that we are aware about its true appearance in the first place." Saint V.Nusjuro spoke.
"But even then we e raised its every mention in the history and changed it's name to mero mero no mi. So again the question arises that why are we discussing about it now ? Aur to be precise why Imu sama has ordered us to suddenly investigate this fruit now ?" Saint Saturn finished.
"We must not question Imu sama. But knowing the reason might help our search." Saint Mars spoke again.
"We might guess the reason but we will never know the truth. All we are aware about the fruit that in it's unawakened form the user will gain the ability to turn anyone to stone who is captivated by his/her beauty. This fruit will be useless in the hands of anyone except a beautiful woman." Saint Saturn spoke up.
"But the main question is how do we know that it is that fruit when we don't even know about it's appearance ?" Saint Ju Peter was concerned.
"We can just collect every unknown looking devil fruit and check on them."Saint V.Nusjuro spoke.
"Well then it is decided. Let's give the marines and the CP agent this new task of bringing every unknown devil fruit to us."Saint Warcury spoke up.

Kuroshaku was resting in an inn in the outskirts of the fishman district. He has successfully able to flee from the palace after stealing the secret treasure of the royal family. That treasure was turned out to be a devil fruit, the cursed treasure of the ocean. He has recognised the unique pattern on the fruit that is said to be on every devil fruit. He didn't know what exactly the fruit was. But he knew that he would get a hefty amount of berries in the surface in exchange of this fruit. After that he planned to leave this Island permanently and live on the surface with the money.
When he was leaving the royal palace the alarm of the dungeon went out. He new by now the entire palace would have been aware about the missing secret treasure of the royal family. And he had no doubts that there will be persuers after him soon enough. So he wanted to take as much rest as possible before his journey to the surface.
But fate has something else planned for him and the devil fruit.

Kapitel 16: Is this fate ?

Kuroshaku hid behind the sake store room while covering himself with alcohol. He had hid the devil fruit in the basket of sea berries. Both were almost identical in colour and size. So no one would be able to find out. The reason behind his hiding was the commotion that was being made by the royal guards. It seems they were using the Dognose sharks, in their investigation. Those damned sharks have the most smell sensitive nose in the entire world. Those things were dangerous. But they also have a weakness. In reality their strength is there weakness. Due to their super sensitive nose, they often cannot stand smells that are revolting for them. And that thing is alcohol.
Due to his superior sonar like sensing ability, Kuroshaku immediately noticed the presence of the royal guards along with Dognose sharks outside the inn.
So he decided to hide. He threw the bartender a sack of gold coins and sneakily put the devil fruit in the basket of sea berries.
"I want to hide in your sake store room. I hope the gold is enough."
After seeing the gold coins the bar tender nodded immediately. Kuroshaku looked around the inn cum bar. It was almost empty. In a corner two young human girls were chatting with each other. They didn't even seem to notice him.
"Follow me." The bartender said to him. And Kuroshaku immediately followed him.
Being in the most lawless area of the fishman Island, this inn didn't follow the rules like others. So instead of handing him over to the guards in his suspicious behaviour the bar tender choose to hide him instead.

"You want to drink ? You are twelve !" Silver exclaimed.
"I can handle alcohol way better than you even if I am 12." Hancock retorted "Hey bartender ! Bring the most expensive alcohol and some snacks here !" Hancock said haughtily. She might have sobered up and lost some of her pride and arrogance after her death, but in her heart she has still her pride mixed with a little bit of arrogance. Which was for all the people she was not friends with.
But her voice carried a strange sense of command in it. It was like the words cannot be disobeyed.
The bar tender quickly prepared two clean glasses and a big bottle of the most expensive sake he had, along with some sea weed chips and sea berries as snacks.
Besides her commanding presence, Hancock was also his most expensive customer he had. When they first arrived along with boss Jimbei, he thought, that they might look for some discount. But contrary to what he thought, they paid him full price and took some of his most luxurious services which gave him a lot of profit. So he immidiately gave importance to his best customer.
When he was leaving to his counter after serving Hancock and Silver, the door of the in suddenly opened and a few royal guards entered his inn. Anyone can recognise them from their uniform . Unlike normal soldiers they have the emblem of the royal family on their back.
The bar tender was very professional. He knew how to deal with this kind of situation. At first he was worried that his best customers might cause his downfall. But when he saw them gulping glasses after glasses of sake, he was relieved.

Hancock was busy enjoying her sake when the one of the soliders came to bother her. She was annoyed at first. But she decided to calm down and see the situation first.
"Miss, we have sound that it writer from the royal palace is hiding in this location have you saw any fish man with a large forehead and Shark fin on his back ?" The soldier asked professionally. He was quite young compared to the other soldiers.
Hancock also remember that she has seen such a fishman a few minutes ago.
"Yeah ! Wasn't he drinking there at the counter ? Sorry I was busy chatting with my friends so I didn't notice did he left or what ? But he never used the front door. I would have noticed if he had used the front door." Hancock said in a slightly drunk voice.
In response the soldier nodded and wind away to report his superior.
The captain of the royal guards listen to the reports of all his subordinates. He thought that the bastard has escaped. So just when he was about to order his subordinates to leave, the underfloor door of the sake store room, burst open revealing Kuroshaku.
At that moment three things happened simultaneously.
First, a drunk Hancock ate the devil fruit which has been named mero mero no mi by the world government even if they didn't know about it's actually appearance.
Second, Kuroshaku shouted "my devil fruit !" And tried to run towards Hancock.
Third, all the soldiers surrounded Kuroshaku and captured him immediately.

"Yeeee ! What the hell ! What the hell did I just eat ?" Hancock shouted. But soon she felt a familiar feeling inside her. A feeling that she was missing ever since she has gotten this second chance. She was feeling the power of mero mero no mi just waiting for her to use it.
And that same time the captain of the royal guards smashed the head of Kuroshaku on the floor. "Where the hell did you hide the secret treasure of the royal family ?"
"You fool ! That was the secret treasure of the royal family ! That devil fruit she just ate !" Kuroshakuspat at the captain and pointed towards Hancock.
