Kapitel 6: Chapter 6: Feeding the Shogun

"Master! Master! I've come to see you!"

In room, Liam suddenly appeared with a flash and spoke to Raiden Shogun, who was still meditating.

Raiden Shogun slowly opened her eyes and looked at Liam.

"How did you just come in?" Raiden Shogun asked coldly.

"Oh, that! Haha! It's just spatial teleportation!" Liam laughed, explaining to Raiden Shogun while flashing a few more times in front of her. He then handed the three-colored dango and dango milk to Raiden Shogun.

"Where did you get this ability?" Raiden Shogun asked, puzzled. Just yesterday, this disciple was only slightly stronger than an average person. How could he have gained the ability to teleport overnight?

"Haha! I've always had this ability; I just discovered it yesterday. After all, I am a descender from another world. Having some special abilities is quite normal, right?" Liam laughed, giving a casual explanation.

"Mm." Raiden Shogun nodded, no longer questioning further. She glanced at the gifts her disciple brought. She recognized them: three-colored dango and dango milk, as Ei loved to eat these.

She picked up a skewer, bit into one piece, and chewed slowly, her movements elegant and unhurried. Liam also sat down opposite Raiden Shogun, watching her eat quietly.

Seeing Liam's smile, Raiden Shogun took out another skewer and handed it to Liam. "You eat too."

Liam looked at the calm face and the three-colored dango handed to him.

[Ding! Task triggered: Have Raiden Shogun feed the host!]

[Task reward: 800 Imaginary Points, 'Raiden Makoto' Remnant Soul!]

"Hiss—!"

Seeing the task, Liam almost blacked out. But the rewards made him very conflicted. He suspiciously checked the details of the two rewards.

['Raiden Makoto' Remnant Soul: One half of the soul of Baal, one of the Seven Archons of Teyvat, reconstituted by the system. Collect the other half to form the complete 'Raiden Makoto' soul!]

['Raiden Makoto' Soul (Unique): The soul of Baal, one of the Seven Archons of Teyvat, reconstituted by the system. Can be fused with the 'Raiden Makoto' body for complete resurrection!]

['Raiden Makoto' Body (Unique): The body of Baal, one of the Seven Archons of Teyvat, reconstituted by the system!]

"Holy crap! System, you're awesome!"

Liam exclaimed in amazement at the system's ability to reconstitute a dissipated soul. He had been wondering how to convince Ei, but if he could resurrect her sister Makoto, Ei would definitely listen to him! The only problem was the task of having Raiden Shogun feed him, which was quite embarrassing.

After a mental whirlwind, he decided to go for it. He cleared his throat and spoke, "Ahem, Master… I need to tell you something. Please don't get angry!"

Liam coughed twice and looked at Raiden Shogun.

"What is it?" Raiden Shogun asked.

"Ahem, it's not a big deal, but I hope you won't get angry when you hear it!" Liam said awkwardly.

Raiden Shogun stared directly at Liam and said, "I won't get angry. Just say it."

"Ahem, I want Master to feed me this dango personally!" Liam felt so embarrassed that he wanted to dig a hole and hide.

Raiden Shogun: "…"

Raiden Shogun was silent for a long time, staring at her bold disciple with an unchanged expression. After a while, she finally spoke, "Alright."

Raiden Shogun's voice was still indifferent, but to Liam, it sounded like the music of the heavens. She brought the dango to Liam's mouth.

Liam stared blankly at the slightly leaning, expressionless Raiden Shogun, then bit into the dango and chewed slowly. She then took the remaining dango back, bit one piece herself, and chewed silently.

Seeing Liam swallow, she handed the skewer with the last piece to Liam's mouth again, and he instinctively bit into it.

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for completing the task! Reward has been issued!]

[Ding! Triggering consecutive task: Feed Raiden Shogun!]

[Task reward: Sword Technique: Secret Sword: Blade Return, 'Raiden Makoto' Remnant Soul!]

Liam's eyes twitched as he saw the consecutive task, then he checked the details of the Secret Sword: Blade Return.

[Secret Sword: Blade Return: Attacks can stack sword energy. Returning the blade to the sheath can explode the sword energy, causing overwhelming damage! The system will also provide a complete set of sword techniques and experience!]

Liam: "???"

"System, are you serious about this reward?"

[Ding! Please rest assured, the reward will not disappoint you!]

Liam was suspicious but didn't argue further. His main goal was the 'Raiden Makoto' Remnant Soul.

Taking a deep breath, Liam felt that this task shouldn't be too difficult given the previous one. When the General wasn't cutting people, she was quite gentle.

So, Liam took out a skewer of three-colored dango and brought it to Raiden Shogun's mouth.

Raiden Shogun blinked, then stared at Liam with her calm purple eyes.

"Ahem, since Master has fed me dango, I think I should also feed Master as a sign of respect!" Liam coughed twice and smiled.

Raiden Shogun didn't say anything, gently bit into the dango, then looked at Liam, who was still holding the skewer, and said, "You eat too."

Liam thought he had misheard, but quickly realized it was just like before. He bit into a piece of dango, then fed the last piece to Raiden Shogun.

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for completing the task! Reward has been issued!]

Liam was dazed. Did he just complete the task so easily? It felt unreal...

As he was in a daze, a bottle of dango milk was handed to him. Liam looked up to see the expressionless Raiden Shogun.

"Here." Raiden Shogun's voice was indifferent, as if she hadn't just fed him. Liam quickly took the bottle and took a sip to calm his nerves.

After calming down, Liam looked at Raiden Shogun, who was still drinking her dango milk, and asked, "Master, why did you agree so easily to such an intimate task?"

"Why what?"

The Raiden Shogun looked at Liam in confusion.

"Feeding each other is something only people who are very close can do. Did you know that, Master?" Liam said, holding his forehead. Now that his task was complete, he had to correct the Shogun's overly trusting nature.

"Yes, I know," the Raiden Shogun slowly nodded and replied.

"Then why did you agree to my unreasonable request?" Liam asked, puzzled by the Shogun's response.

"You are my direct disciple. Isn't that relationship close enough?" the Raiden Shogun calmly replied.

"Being a direct disciple is just a status, it doesn't equate to the level of intimacy. Besides, there's a gender difference between us. Only couples can feed each other like this! No matter how good the master-disciple relationship is, it doesn't reach the point of feeding each other," Liam explained, feeling that it was necessary to clarify this to the Shogun. He didn't want to take advantage of her innocence just to complete his mission.

The Shogun was very powerful, but for some reason, she lacked some common sense. Now, Liam had to explain things clearly to her. As for any repercussions, he would deal with them later.

The Raiden Shogun frowned slightly and looked down, seemingly in deep thought. After a while, she looked up at Liam.

"So, you were taking advantage of me earlier? And what about that dumpling milk you gave me, which you had drunk from first?" The Shogun's eyes were calm, showing no emotions.

"Yes, that was indeed taking advantage," Liam admitted without any hesitation. He hadn't paid much attention to that small detail during the milk incident since he was focused on getting the Shogun to drink it. He didn't expect her to remember it.

"I see," the Raiden Shogun nodded slightly, not reacting as violently as Liam had imagined.

"Uh, Master, don't you have anything to say? Aren't you even a little angry?" Liam looked at her in confusion. In his memory, the Raiden Shogun was not someone easy to talk to and was a person who dared to attack even her creator.

"I understand what you mean, but I am not angry about it. You may leave for now. Come see me again tomorrow," the Raiden Shogun said calmly, her tone as indifferent as ever.

"Uh… alright then, Master. I will take my leave!" Liam, not understanding the Shogun's intention, took the opportunity to leave. He flashed out of Tenshukaku, planning to check his recent task rewards.

After Liam left, the Raiden Shogun remained seated, her brows slightly furrowed, deep in thought. She took another sip of the dumpling milk and then noticed the cup Liam had left behind in his haste. She picked it up and took a sip, then sipped from her own cup, furrowing her brows even more.

Liam had no idea about the Shogun's unusual behavior. He was already back in his room.

"System, is there anything I need to be aware of when merging with the true soul of Raiden Makoto?" Liam, knowing his system's quirks, asked directly.

[Ding~! No precautions are necessary. The host can directly merge with the true soul of Raiden Makoto. However, since Raiden Makoto does not have a physical body, her soul will reside in the host's consciousness space until a body is obtained!]

"She will reside in my consciousness? Are you sure there won't be any issues?" Liam asked.

[Ding~! Rest assured, there will be no issues!]

"Alright then, let's begin the merger!" Liam nodded and instructed the system.

[Ding~! Beginning the merger!]

[Ding~! Merger successful! The true soul of Raiden Makoto has been transferred to the host's consciousness space!]

As soon as the system finished speaking, Liam heard a gentle female voice in his mind.

"What's going on?" The soul of Raiden Makoto, in a spiritual state within the consciousness space, looked around at the white surroundings, confused.

"System, can I enter the consciousness space?"

[This is the host's consciousness space, so the host can naturally enter. You just need to…]

Following the system's instructions, Liam sat down and slowly immersed his consciousness into his consciousness space.

Upon entering, Liam saw a woman in a kimono who looked exactly like the Raiden Shogun.

"Hello, Lady Makoto," Liam greeted her.

"Who are you? And where is this place?" Raiden Makoto asked, puzzled.

"My name is Liam. This is my consciousness space," Liam replied with a smile.

"Consciousness space?" Raiden Makoto was confused. She remembered dissipating in her sister's arms, so how did she end up here?

"Yes. You should remember what happened before, right? I saved you, but since you are only a soul now, I had to place you in my consciousness space. I'll help you get a body later," Liam explained.

"Is that so?" Raiden Makoto was silent for a moment, then bowed deeply to Liam.

"Thank you for saving my life, Liam. Could you tell me how Inazuma is doing now? How many years have passed since my departure?" Liam quickly helped Raiden Makoto up and smiled.

"Don't be like that. I saved you by chance. I'm not that powerful, and I'm actually your sister's disciple now."

"You are my sister's disciple?" Raiden Makoto was incredulous. She hadn't expected her savior to be her sister's disciple.

"Kind of. I became her disciple for special reasons. As for the time, it's been five hundred years since your passing. As for Inazuma's current situation, well…" Liam hesitated a bit before continuing, "The situation in Inazuma isn't very optimistic."

Raiden Makoto's heart sank at Liam's words. "Can you tell me more?"

"Uh…" Liam hesitated for a moment but decided to explain the situation briefly.

Raiden Makoto's expression changed with Liam's words, and she sighed deeply. "My sister… sigh!"

Raiden Makoto didn't know how to feel about her sister.

"Don't worry too much. Things in Inazuma haven't reached the worst point yet. Now that I'm here, I'll find a way to solve these problems. But with Master, only you can really talk to her," Liam said.
