Chapter 194: One's Happiness
~Third POV~
[Outside of the City, Honno City Outskirts]
The Elite Four was helping with evacuating the civilians to the boats. Then the group Ryuko, Mash, Mako, Satsuki, and Rei met up with them with Satsuki commanding them, "Take her as well."
The Elite Four nodded following their leader's command, "… Right!"
Everyone made it onto the boats and was safely transported away. Ryuko, Satsuki, and Mash turned to watch as Honnouji Academy and Honno City slowly sank into the bay he spoke with a fond smile and said in a sad tone, "It's finally over, huh?"
Nodding her head Satsuki agreed with a light smile, "Yes it is…"
Ryuko merely grins as she stretches commenting the graduation in a chipper tone, "Man! That was some graduation huh?"
Mash snorted at her words making a small comment in a sarcastic tone about their graduation, "Sure… what would Honnouji Academy's First Graduation be without a giant robot and a giant pair of scissors destroying it?"
Satsuki with a bemused grin replied laughing lightly to herself in a humorous tone, "A 'normal' graduation."
He laughed at her joke as he humorously gazed at the sinking island in the distance, "Hahaha… Touché Eyebrows. Touché."
Soon Senketsu spoke in a curious tone about his adventure in this world, "Mash, I bet this was quite the ordeal for you, huh?"
Ryuko hopefully asked as well in a curious tone about his adventure in her world, "Hehehe. Yeah, I bet this was pretty crazy."
Contrary to what they were expecting Mash simply shrugged his shoulders at his adventure in the Kill La Kill worldline in a neutral tone, "Meh. I mean fighting a multidimensional alien is a first but nowhere as scary as facing King Gilgamesh in an all-out fight. I have a few close calls and been to hell seeing Lucifer, or helped overthrow a Kingdom – what's with those expressions?"
The group had stunned expressions as Ryuko asked alarmed mentioning another lady in his life in an urgent tone, "Eh?! Really?! Okay, I want to hear some stories!"
Satsuki listening intently also froze asking serious questions in a fake curious tone demanding from him, "… I would like to hear them as well."
Sensing their attitude he laughed at their jealous reactions. But soon he stopped gazing at the sunset in the distance asking in a curious tone, "So what are your guy's next plans in life anyway?"
Asking the very wrong choice of words Ryuko soon asked the serious question in a serious tone with her arms crossed "Thanks! This also lets us have time to discuss something important. Who calls dibs on a date with Mash!"
He blinked at such a question asking in a confused tone, "Really?"
This sparked a debate between Ryuko and Satsuki staring at him, debating with each other as Satsuki spoke in a confident tone, "I believe I should be the one to call dibs?"
Ryuko glared at her older sister's words as she marked priority in a serious tone, "Well I was his friend first!"
Satsuki lips twitch before elegantly replying to her little sister's claims in a calm tone, "But you didn't kiss him or confess first?"
As the two are arguing Mako makes her suggestion with the Elite Four as the sister's debates get heated up in a curious tone, "So who you think he would pick?"
Mash was listening to his friends with Inumuta bringing his money out in a confident tone, "My money is on Lady Satsuki."
Sanageyama with his arms crossed spoke out in a confident tone loyal to Satsuki, "Not to sound rude, but I think it would be Satsuki too."
Mako soon spoke out loud believing in her friend to get the first dibs in a fierce tone, "Well I believe that it would be Ryuko!"
Nonon made a snarky comment and spoke in a sarcastic tone, "Care to make a bet slacker?"
Mako fiercely replied with money on the line and friendship said in a challenging tone, "You're on!"
Mash simply smiled seeing the drama unfolding as he gazed at the distance away from the sinking island he thought in a calm tone, 'I suppose finishing up on my High School Education a bit while having a sense of normalcy would calm my nerves. Or at the very least calm there's… but if I had to choose to go on a date…'

[Two Weeks Later, Random Town]
Ryuko and Mako were waiting on the sidewalk of a city as Ryuko spoke in a bit of a nervous tone, "You think he's going to be late?"
Mako shook her head trying to comfort her friend of her worries in a cheerful tone, "I don't think he would. He probably is having trouble deciding on what to wear on your date?"
Ryuko only raised an eyebrow at her words. She crossed her arms asking in a doubtful tone being blunt, "Do I need to wear normal clothes Senketsu?"
Senketsu using his [Shapeshifting] ability from Shinra-Koketsu sticks his face out nodding his body in the form of her scarf confirming her words in a stoic tone, "Of course. It's a date, not a fight. You need to look decent for him. Granted he did say he'll come once he explains to his friends from across worlds."
Ryuko merely smiled seeing in the distance a small glowing kaleidoscope portal appearing out of thin air. He came out dressed casually in nice clothing with a grin on his face eyeing Ryuko in a friendly tone waving his hand with Koketsu in a scarf form, "Sorry, for the wait. I had to do some last-minute clothing changes for today. Rem suggested this fine clothing for help. Hope I'm not that late…?"
Mako smirked seeing she called it as she spoke out loud as he came near in an upbeat tone, "Nope, you're right on time!"
Nearing Ryuko he held his hand outstretched for her. She accepted grasping his hands and blushing lightly as she spoke in a nervous tone, "Ready for our date?"
He meekly nodded with a light blush on his face. Mash, Mako, and Ryuko walked through the streets. They all then met up with someone along the way with Ryuko eyes widening calling out to Satsuki with short hair and a nice dress, "Sis! What are you doing here?"
Turning her gaze to them she adjusted her hair and smiled at them coming towards the group with an elegant smile in a calm tone, "I'm here for our date with him."
Ryuko froze at this muttering in a stunned tone, "Wait what? But how –"
She simply raised a REVOCS device with a smug smirk on her face explaining herself in a happy tone, "Thanks to our beloved research providing these bracelets. With some help of course it allows one to call him even from beyond our worldline little sister."
Mash smiled addressing Satsuki's haircut causing the former lady of war to blush at his compliments in a kind tone, "You look cute with your short hair Satsuki."
Satsuki blushed smiling happily at his words and replied in a joyful tone, "Thank you. So are we ready?"
Taking charge she grasped hold of his free hand leaning her body over his arm. Ryuko did the same muttering in a defeated tone, "Sigh… I guess this is happening?"
Satsuki merely spoke in a stoic tone as they all walked across the street at a steady pace she said, "I guess it is. But considering he'll betrothed to us in the future we also must make sure no annoying vixens tempt his innocent soul. Don't forget that we're meeting up with everyone later."
Mash only laughed nervously at her words with Ryuko fiercely smirking. After all, she promised to go with him traveling other worldlines as promised for him helping her revenge quest and saving their reality from collapsing.
They all walked through the city for his date with Ryuko and Satsuki. While Mako was enjoying herself too. They all went to eat ice cream, shop for clothes, and walk through the streets.
Up ahead around the corner Nonon, Sanageyama, and Inumuta were prepping Gamagori, who was wearing a white suit and holding flowers. Sanageyama smirked patting Gamagori on the back in an encouraging tone, "Looking good big guy."
Inumuta typing down on his REVOCS pad smirked giving an encouraging tone to his former college in the Elite Four, "Don't worry, I gathered data on all the best dating locations in the area. You should be fine."
Nonon turned her head to Gamagori as she gave him some small words of advice in an encouraging tone, "Don't forget to smile and what the moron told you, now go!"
Nonon pushed Gamagori in front of Mako who was startled and yelled in a surprised tone, "Gamagori?! What are you doing here?"
The trio gazed at his appearance with Ryuko's eyes widening spoke in a surprised tone, "Is this what I think it is?"
Mash had a smug expression with Satsuki by his side replying to her question in an amused tone, "Let's watch."
Taking a distance to view Gamagori he then kneels over and hands out the bouquet asking Mako out in a nervous tone, "UUUH, Mankanshoku… I-I was wondering… if your not busy right now, we could… probably uuuh. If you would go out with me, cause my love for you would never be tardy!"
Mash found the scene funning in his head cause Gamagori is still taller than everyone, despite him being one knee as he spoke nervously, "Uh, it's fine if you – "
But soon Mako grabbed the bouquet hugging the big guy in a happy tone, "Sure! Let's go out!"
Gamagori was stunned with Ryuko's mouth agape in a stunned tone, "Oh my –"
Mash yelled happily for his friend union finding a boyfriend in a chipper tone, "It's a canon event!"
Satsuki nods her head knowingly of the result with a happy grin congratulating the two, "Congrats to the both of you."
However, Ryuko shot her head at the two in a surprised tone eyes widened in disbelief, "When was THIS a thing?!"
Pointing at Mako and Gamagori the rest of the Elite Four came with Nonon placing her hand over her face in an obvious tone, "Oh come on, it was so obvious!"
Mash raised an eyebrow at Ryuko in a questioning tone not being aware of this, "I'm surprised you didn't see that coming? Didn't you see this as the most possible event occurring?"
Ryuko simply yelled back at him with a light blush on her face with the two chuckling at her embarrassment, "Shut up you dolt! I've seen lots of worldlines in my head absorbing those life fibers! I wasn't even aware they had a thing going on till today!"
Both laughed a bit louder much to Ryuko's embarrassment. After that, everyone continued their dates then later all of them met up in a limo that was taking them somewhere. Everyone all got off somewhere, but Ryuko was blindfolded asking in a confused tone, "Is this necessary?"
Mash nodded his head along with everyone smiling as he explained in a comforting tone holding her hand, "Just trust me on this. I didn't spend the last 2 weeks away for nothing but perfecting this gift just for you Ryuko."
Her heart skipped a beat when he told her it was all for her. Trusting him he guided her along a stone path. Moving his hands to the blindfold he took them off with everyone yelling out in an excited tone, "Surprise!"
In front of Ryuko, her eyes widened as tears started to form out of sheer happiness shaking lightly in a tone of disbelief, "T-This is… How?"
Wiping the tears off her face Mash smiled as everyone was standing in front of her old new and improved Matoi Family Mansion with Mako speaking in a kind tone, "Yep! This is your old home, but good as new!"
Mash moved forward placing a hand over her shoulder in a calm tone explaining to her with a happy grin, "Well… since you said to me you missed your old home I and everyone helped pitched in reconstructing it. Using my private treasury funds and everyone's help we managed to fix your old home."
Ryuko was frozen with happiness crying tears of joy as she couldn't find the words for this in a thankful tone, "I-I don't know what to say?"
Placing a hand over her other shoulder Satsuki smiled showing her older sister support spoke in a kind tone, "Well you tell us to come inside Matoi. I had ordered a caterer for dinner all expenses were paid. Just for you little sister."
Mako's family all cheered happily as they said in unison, "Then let's feast like kings!"
Holding her hand firmly their gazes locked into each other as Mash said in a loving tone to her, "Ready to go inside Ryuko?"
She smiled happily closing her eyes said grasping his hand in a joyful tone, "Sure!"
Soon everyone entered the new Matoi home. Mash stood by helping Ryuko get her happy ending with an eager look in his eyes and thought to himself in a determined tone, 'No matter what… I'll get my happy ending someday. Just like Ryuko and Satsuki fought for there's mine is simply a grander journey ahead. And I'm never gonna give up till I do.'
Like that one world and one story against the odds comes to an end as Mash takes the time to enjoy the party they made for Ryuko smiling as they enjoyed today.
