After a few rounds, the two of them laid leisurely on the bed. They didn't speak for a while and just enjoyed the presence and the warmth of the other.
Naia's head rested on his chest, listening to his heartbeat that had always been frantic especially after sex. She felt something a bit different this time though, but she couldn't quite point out what it was.
Her thoughts were distracted when Leon's rough hands caressed her hips and then her back. She looked up to see Leon looking at her with deep eyes.
"Naia…" he began, "You know what a married couple is, right?" he asked.
Leon thought that if she agreed to his proposal, then he wanted to be sure she knew what it meant.
She nodded, recalling the dean's lessons. "Hm… lovers, partners for life."
He heaved a deep breath. "Rhetorically speaking, what is the ideal husband for you?"
She blinked, looking at him. He looked back at her with a constipated expression due to nervousness.
