Kapitel 264: • Battle At The Infirmary (1)

The morning welcomed the Royal Infirmary with a spark of emerald fire that quickly fueled into thick flames and burned a line on the ground.

The Anti-Essence guards standing in front of the gate exchanged worried glances before readying themselves for any danger. They aimed their Essence-infused pistolets at the fire, fingers at the trigger, and waited.

The flames rose higher and twisted till it formed a portal of green flames.

The guards grew tense, their eyes remained plastered to the portal, waiting, hearts beating.

First, a foot came out of the fire, carrying the same flames with them, and once it pulled the rest of its body with it, the guards opened fire.

The mini-arrows struck out of the weapon with an energy following behind them, but when they struck the body of the being before them, they simply dissolved into smoke the color of lemons.
