Bastopher Bellunder couldn't take his eyes off Spheris. He glared at him with quiet yet obvious animosity.

Spheris didn't look away either. Although his gaze showed nothing of anger or dispute, he still responded with the same stare.

The Prince stood beside his father, almost the same height as the tall man. His blond hair rose in spikes that bent one way in style, and his lean build was covered by his expensive clothing.

He looked a little like his father, though his jaw was longer, and his eyes were more brown than blue.

"Spheris?" the voice of the Duke pulled the shadow bender from his thoughts.

Spheris looked at him, at his tall, distinguished form. The staidness, the magnificence and the baronial presence of Dornis Bellunder.

Spheris had almost forgotten all about it. He remembered what the Duke had said to him about fate, and now here they were once again, brought together by the exact word.
