Kapitel 191: • Last Minutes In The Abyss

"Why? What would be the point?" Thorin asked. "I already know."

When Spheris looked down at him, Thorin understood immediately and his gaze fell in shame. He'd managed to stay alive till the end of the story, but it seemed Spheris didn't care.

His eyes moved to the roasting chicken which was almost fully burnt, his mouth watered and he wanted to reach for it, far away as it was.

He started to crawl towards it, while Spheris watched, but he feared that the entire meat would be burnt to ashes before he got to it. He crawled closer, whimpering.

But then Spheris picked the meat up and retracted his Lantern Variable. Thorin looked at him with pain and mercy in his eyes, tears almost falling down his cheeks.

As he watched, Spheris walked to the Capacity Core while Talon perched on top of his shoulder. Spheris picked up the giant crimson crystal, still holding the meat in his hand.

"You're going to look for them?" Thorin asked.
