Spheris gritted his teeth in anxiety, watching the display from his position. 'Come on, Thorin!' he begged in his thoughts. 'You've won. Let him go, you don't need to kill him.'
The Second Wing Prince raised his flame filled palm in the air, and Spheris's heart sank in even deeper... waiting. For a moment, his eyes wandered to Pa Tsuna, and he could see that the Mogul was watching him in a rather curious way.
What could he do? Spheris wondered. Was he just going to stand there while one of his companions killed his friend? Should he jump in and stop Thorin?
That was what he wanted to do. It was the easiest idea, but it wasn't the smartest. Because in turn, it meant revealing his presence to his friends, going against the rules which could disqualify the entire matches, make the Mogul suspicious of why he would want to save Perichan, and...
This was the more difficult part.
...it would stop Spheris from knowing.
