Kapitel 76: Qing Wa dies Kuang Luo To is born

"Please, have mercy!! I swear will pretend this never happened and I won't seek revenge if you spare me!!" Shao Ye says as he crawls weakly on the ground, his body covered in deep cuts that spill rivers of blood.

"No..." Qing Wa, hearing Shao Ye's pathetic pleas, simply continues to walk slowly towards him, showing not the slightest inclination to be merciful.

"Please... I'll give you any Gu you want, as well as all the primeval stones I've saved, just spare me!!" Shao Ye weakly gasps, crawling amidst the bodies of women and children.

These women are the numerous concubines he has taken over the years to form his harem, and the children are his various offspring, a number so large it would be impossible for a mere Rank 2 initial stage Gu Master like him to have, were it not for his status as the grandson of a tribe elder and heir to the main family line.

"Of course, give me all your Gu and primeval stones right now and I will spare you..." Qing Wa says, trying to appear honest while continuing to advance slowly towards Shao Ye, avoiding stepping on the bodies scattered on the ground.

"...sure, but we need to make an agreement... we'll use the Warrior's Oath Gu, of course..." Shao Ye speaks nervously, fear etched across his face, as he leans on the body of one of his dead concubines. "But we will have to wait for one of my subordinates to bring the Gu, as I do not have it with me right now..."

"How convenient for you not to have the Gu for common oaths on you... Do you think I will give you time for your grandfather to come and kill me for attacking you?" Qing Wa says, his eyes fixed on Shao Ye and also on the dead concubine beside him, who happens to be Li Tian'e.

Qing Wa feels no love for her, not now or in the past, as he only wanted her as his wife for her beauty. In fact, he finds it ironic that in Shao Ye's final moments, he is beside the woman who made him humiliate and have his guard beat Qing Wa, leading to this revenge.

"I swear on my honor... and if that's not enough, on my ancestors' honor as well..." Shao Ye speaks, trying to appear as sincere as possible despite lying with every word. "That I won't use this opportunity to call my grandfather to kill you!!"

Shao Ye utters these words in pure fear that Qing Wa will suspect his intentions, knowing full well that Qing Wa will never agree to this plan. But he hopes to buy enough time for someone outside who heard the commotion of the go and alert his grandfather, who will immediately come to investigate what happened.

"I also swear on my ancestors that I will not kill you, so why is the Warrior's Oath Gu necessary?" Qing Wa says ironically, seeing through Shao Ye's obvious intentions.

He knows he is racing against time, as despite infiltrating Shao Ye's mansion silently by killing and assuming the identity of one of the guards responsible for watching over Shao Ye's concubines, the ensuing fight was anything but quiet.

Despite him being lucky enough to have obtained the rare Skin Change Gu from rock gambling, allowing his infiltration plan to succeed. But he has no doubt that someone from outside or even a guard has gone to inform Shao Ye's grandfather, the tribe elder, about the commotion caused by the fight between Gu Masters.

"Believe me, we from great families do not break oaths made in our ancestors' names even--!!" Shao Ye never finishes his words as Qing Wa's fist collides with his head, completely destroying it.

"Ahh, even now, that I will be forever hunted by the tribe it was worth it!!" Qing Wa says with a satisfied expression as a Large Gray Wolf phantom hovers behind him.

"Haha, in the end, I couldn't catch you off guard, what a pity..." Qing Wa says as he inspects Shao Ye's aperture, finding all his Gu destroyed.

'Well, I better take what I can and run as fast as I can!!' Qing Wa thinks as he begins to manually search for valuable Gu that might be hidden in the mansion.

*One month later*

"You, traveler, I ask you to stop right now..." Ya De, a Rank 2 initial stage Gu Master guarding a bridge, says as he sees a man approaching.

"...May I know the reason for this? If you are bandits, I warn you to let me pass if you value your lives..." Qing Wa, now looking completely different from before, says, seeing several Rank 1 Gu Masters led by a Rank 2 Gu Master blocking his passage across the bridge.

"There is no need to worry, I am Ya De, and we are righteous path Gu Masters from the Ya Tribe," Ya De, the leader of the group, says while showing an emblem that belongs only to Gu Masters of the Ya Tribe.

"I am Hi Cai... so what is the purpose of righteous path comrades blocking the passage of travelers like bandits?" Qing Wa says, trying to keep his expression calm.

"Well, we are on a mission from our Tribe to find certain demonic path Gu Masters... if you permit me to approach?" Ya De says, receiving two scrolls from his subordinate, and upon seeing Qing Wa nod, he approaches and hands them to him.

Ya De returns the nod with a friendly smile as he explains, "These two are demonic path Gu Masters wanted by the Li Tribe, both with large bounties on their heads."

"Ten thousand primeval stones each... what did they do to have such large bounties as mere Rank 2 Gu Masters?" Qing Wa says calmly, looking at the two posters with drawings of him and the guard whose identity he assumed to infiltrate Shao Ye's mansion.

"According to the mission, they conspired together to kill the grandson of one of the elders of the Li Tribe," Ya De says while carefully observing Qing Wa's expression, which does not change.

"Now that I see your face up close, I can tell you are not one of them... but I would also like to ask if you have any information about their whereabouts?" Ya De says, his body, which had been tense and ready for battle, relaxing considerably.

"Is there any reward for information about their whereabouts?" Qing Wa asks, looking up from the poster and directly at Ya De.

"Of course, there is a reward of fifty primeval stones for information about the possible whereabouts of each," Ya De says, taking out the Color of Truth Gu and handing it to Qing Wa, who extends his hands to receive it.

"Hmm, I have seen these faces..." He says, and the Gu in his hands glows green, indicating he speaks the truth.

"I saw these two faces at Tridents River..." He speaks slowly, but the Gu in his hand continues to glow green.

"On the left tributary... near the pink tree forest..."

"That was the last time I saw these faces..." he finally says as the Color of Truth Gu continues to glow green.

"Well, thank you very much for your information, Mr. Hi Cai. Here are your primeval stones," Ya De says with a smile, handing a bag with one hundred primeval stones to Qing Wa after taking back the Gu.

Qing Wa receives the bag and counts the primeval stones one by one before nodding in satisfaction and continuing on his way. "Goodbye... I wish you luck in your mission."

Ya De nods with a smile, watching Qing Wa until he is far on the horizon. "Do not forget to record his face... and send one of our own to follow him. Be careful not to be noticed; no one wants to start a fight with a Rank 2 middle stage Gu Master, understood?"

"Yes, sir!!" His subordinates, who witnessed the entire interaction, respond in unison.

------------------

*Several years later*

"Hahahah, you can pay up, you old braggart, I won the bet!" Kai Ma, a middle-aged bald man, says with a smile on his face while drinking a cup of wine.

"Ahhh, you're boasting just because of a little luck, you old bastard," Pe Die, another middle-aged man, but quite fat, says indignantly while also drinking his wine.

"Stop whining and pay what you owe because the Wise Wolf won the fight against the Water Dancer just as I bet he would!!" Kai Ma says, slamming his hand on the table hard enough to startle the young man sitting at the same table with them.

"Whining how? Besides, that victory is just a rumor for now!" Pe Die says indignantly, taking a gulp of his wine.

"Ahh, uncle, are you talking about the famous Wise Wolf who made his name by looting the big tribes?" A young man around fourteen years old asks curiously.

"Pe Lin, don't listen to your uncle, he's a fat old fool hahaha," Kai Ma says, mocking his long-time friend, leaving Pe Lin with a scared expression, fearing his uncle's angry reaction.

"Hahaha, says the stingy old man who doesn't even have a penny to his name," Pe Die retorts, drinking his wine, filling his large belly with the beverage.

"Well, well, you know this rising star of the demonic path, Wise Wolf, we both knew him in the past when he was just another Gu Master!" Kai Ma says emphatically, leaving Pe Lin shocked.

"Really? How? Did you fight each other in the past?!" Pe Lin asks, very interested in the story. Like any young person, he greatly admires a great warrior on the rise.

"Of course not. When I met him, i was already old and retired... In fact, he came to buy a Direwolf Strength Gu at my shop for the first time about six years ago..." Pe Die says, looking into the glass of wine as he recalls the past.

"Hmm, at that time, he was starting to make a name for himself by raiding various caravans and small tribes... Of course, I didn't know he was a demonic path Gu Master, hahaha," Pe Die justifies himself when he realizes he's said more than he should.

"He was just another Rank 2 Gu Master back then... Jing Lang is what he called himself before earning the title of Wise Wolf, if I'm not mistaken," Kai Ma continues the conversation before his friend incriminates himself further.

"Correct... In fact, back then, he was a regular customer for about a year before becoming a famous Rank 3 Gu Master," Pe Die says to Pe Lin, who is listening attentively.

"He's really incredible to become a Rank 3 Gu Master so young! I heard he was a mortal who found the inheritance of a Rank 2 Gu Master... Is that true?" Pe Lin says, almost jumping off the table in anticipation to hear the answers. "I believe he will even become a Rank 5 in the near future! Do you think he can?"

"And how would I know, you idiot kid? I just sold Gu to him; I wasn't his confidant or anything like that, hahaha!" Pe Die says while laughing at his nephew's foolish question, thinking becoming a worlds peak strength Gu Master is something one can achieve so easily without the significant support of one of the great tribes.

--------------

*At the same time*

"Hahaha, an inheritance from a Rank 4 Gu Master... how incredible!" Qing Wa says while looking at a stone altar in the middle of a forest.

"Ahh, this explains why the Water Dancer was willing to fight to the death to keep the location of this inheritance secret!" Qing Wa says with a cruel smile on his face, which, along with the wolf-skin outfit he wears, gives him a fierce appearance.

"Unfortunately for him, even with his death, my knowledge of the information path allowed me to discover this place..." he says as he walks to the center of the stone altar.

"And who would have thought it looks like an information path one... The heavens are truly favoring me, hahaha!" Qing Wa says as he places his hand on the central stone pillar and checks the Gu stored within.

"...and this isn't the only inheritance left by this Gu Master... this could be my great fortuitous encounter!" Qing Wa says with his eyes shining as he sees the information left in this inheritance.

-------------

*Decades later*

Mortal Killer Move - Heavenly Omniscience

"Kekekeke... A young furious lion... in the end, loses to an old wise wolf..." Qing Wa says, looking at a young man with red hair, tall and unnaturally muscular, lying dead face down on the ground.

He himself is full of injuries and deep cuts on his frail-looking body, which is completely stained with blood, even making his white hair turn crimson.

"The courage and strength of this new generation are really out of the ordinary... but unfortunately for you, I was your enemy!" Qing Wa says as he approaches He Wu and checks his aperture.

"Kekekeke, he didn't leave anything for this old man..." Qing Wa says, seeing all the Gu destroyed, probably due to some self-destruction mechanism upon his death.

Seeing the young man on the ground, Qing Wa remembers when he himself was a fierce young man who acted without thinking and took pride in idiotic titles like Wise Wolf or being considered one of the most talented Gu Masters of the new generation.

But despite his youthful appearance not showing it, he is an old Rank 4 Gu Master who has experienced almost everything in these long years and has seen a much broader world than he knew in his youth. And in his eyes now there is nothing for him to be proud of in his insignificant achievements.

"Ahh... but this inheritance will be my escape from mediocrity, so a junior like you thinking he could steal it from me so easily... what arrogance, kekekeke!" Qing Wa says, looking towards the horizon, which is the famous border between the Northern Plains and the Western Desert.

"I wonder how you discovered my route to ambush me? Did you find out something about the inheritance? Kekeke, I'll never know, I guess!" Qing Wa says, laughing maniacally, a habit he developed over time due to the Crazy Knowledge Gu.

"Kekeke, these decades of hard work locating the inheritances left by this immortal will pay off..." Qing Wa says with determination in his eyes, remembering the difficulties he overcame.

Since he stole the Rank 4 information path inheritance from Water Dancer and discovered it was not just one but a sequence of inheritances left by someone he later found out to be an information path immortal, he focused his entire life on obtaining the main inheritance left by this immortal.

He also focused all his efforts on learning more about the information path, having to completely abandon the strength path and his combat methods used in his youth because of the conflict between the two paths, according to knowledge he found in one of the inheritances.

In this quest, he made many enemies, went through countless difficulties, and committed so many atrocities and crimes that even he doesn't know how great his sins are, but now, in his eyes, it was all worth it.

"Ahh, I will have to get used to sand everywhere from now on, kekekeke," Qing Wa says as he advances determinedly, crossing the regional borders with ease as if they didn't exist.

-------------------

*Months later*

"Kekeke, things really didn't go according to plan..." Qing Wa murmurs, looking at the bodies of several young righteous path Gu Masters.

"...ahhh, the heavens truly don't want to make my life easy, kekeke," Qing Wa complains about his bad luck as he checks the bodies for any Gu that might not have been destroyed.

"Well... here we go again, being hunted by all the major forces of an entire region..." Qing Wa, an information path Gu Master, clearly recognizes these youths as known talents of the great clans of the Western Desert.

But, by some cruel twist of fate, they were passing by for some unknown reason when he opened the immortal inheritance, releasing a great aura that made them come to investigate, forcing him to kill them to prevent the information about the immortal inheritance from leaking.

"But even being hunted by the whole world would be worth it for this!" Qing Wa says, his eyes shining with joy as he looks at the entrance to a blessed land belonging to a deceased Rank 6 Gu Immortal.

------------

*Sixteen years later in blessed land time*

"Ahh, damn it, it seems I just needed a little more time!!" Qing Wa, now a Rank 5 Gu Master, says with fury on his face.

"Master, there's nothing we can do; this is an ancient blessed land, and the last tribulation caused so much damage..." A land spirit in the form of a rolled-up treasure map says with tears in its non-existent eyes.

"Damn it... if only I had an immortal Gu to deal with that tribulation..." Qing Wa says with a look of regret.

"Ahhh, so be it! I can easily ascend to immortality while being hunted by all the forces of the Western Desert... and if not, then I'll die trying!" Qing Wa says with determination to fight to the end.

He knows that although only two years have passed in the Gu world, the great clans continue to fervently search for him due to the murders of their young talents at Qing Wa's hands, about which they know all the details thanks to the numerous elite investigative Gu Masters who are members of these clans.

"Master! Master! Please don't die!" The small map cries out desperately, weeping like a child.

"Kekekeke, I have no choice... I will advance either to success or to destruction!" Qing Wa says, converting his melancholy and resentment into unshakable determination.

-----------

*A few years later*

"Qing Wa, damn demon, surrender now, and I will give you a quick death!!" A young man with a heroic appearance shouts.

"Qing Wa, you despicable demon, you have escaped and fled for years, but now you are completely surrounded!!" An old man with a wise appearance shouts at the top of his lungs.

"Not only for your crimes in the Western Desert, but I will make you pay even for your sins in the Northern Plains, you wretch!" A fat man says with disdain in his voice.

"I-I will s-show you Mount Tai!!" As if not wanting to be left out, a young man stammers nervously.

"Ahh, is this the end?" Qing Wa says as he sees himself surrounded by hundreds of enemies with no escape route, his death certain.

He was aware this would happen sooner or later, since after leaving the blessed land that collapsed due to a tribulation, he spent these last few years being chased and attacked to the point of near death constantly.

In these past few years, he did only three things: run, fight, and cultivate, nothing more, nothing less, without a second of rest due to the increasing pursuit every time he won a battle and killed another member of a powerful clan.

And he has to give credit to the great clans of the Western Desert, for even after many defeats, their determination did not waver one bit, and now they have surrounded him and are about to kill him, a renowned Rank 5 peak stage Gu Master.

"Kekekeke, what do I have to lose now? It's success or my destruction!!" Hearing Qing Wa's words, all the surrounding Gu Masters become wary, defending themselves in fear of Qing Wa's last desperate attack.

But what happened next was something almost none of the mortal Gu Masters here expected or understood; only those with more knowledge and connections realized immediately why an almost infinite amount of Heaven Qi, Earth Qi, and Human Qi began to gather around Qing Wa.

"This is an immortal ascension!!" An old Gu Master shouts as he desperately runs away from Qing Wa.

-----------

*Hours later*

"Kekeke... kekeke, truly those who imagine Rank 5 as the peak of the world are pathetic, like a toad trapped in a well that believes the sky it sees is the entire world!!" Qing Wa says with a crazed smile while his body, full of deep wounds that could make someone with weak will faint from fear just by looking at them.

"My whole life I've bathed in hardships... but even all of them together didn't compare to this immortal ascension, kekekeke," Qing Wa says as he inspects his immortal aperture, which has an area of 5,000 square kilometers.

"...but above all, even when compared to my incredible increase in attainment, this is my greatest gain!" Qing Wa says as he looks at a Gu in his immortal aperture.

It is his new vital Gu, which has the form of a black beetle with two large horns on its head, surprisingly the size of an adult's fist. Its most striking feature is a white mark on its back that takes the form of a broad smile. This is the newly ascended to Rank 6 Crazy Knowledge Gu.

"Or would my greatest gain be my memories returning..." Qing Wa says while trying to calm the storm of "new" memories assaulting his mind, reminding him of his status as a clone or better, a Stolen Identity created by Sha Xiao, also known as the Dao Guardian of Thieving Heaven.

"Kekeke, unfortunately, I don't even have time to absorb this calmly...." Qing Wa looks at approximately six people hovering in the sky, looking at him from afar.

Five of them exude the same aura as Qing Wa, although stronger in varying degrees, as well as their distinct appearances from each other. But what they all have in common is that they only look at him with serious faces without saying a word.

"Kekeke, so be it...." Qing Wa says, deciding to break the silence.

"Born into this world by Heaven and Earth,

Destined for failure, my great ambitions

Filling my heart unmet.

Yet I made a choice—if Fate denied me my desired end,

I would wrest it from its hands, even if the Heavens opposed me.

Unknowing, I marched forward, in the past,

Unaware of my true self or my goals.

But now, clarity dawns:

I know myself, I know my single aim,

The sole reason for my birth and unyielding path,

No matter the hardship.

By my hands, a demon shall arise,

By my hands, an era of unending bloodshed shall begin,

By my hands, souls shall find no peace, even at the Door of Life and Death.

Not by the hands of Qing Wa, my former self,

For he is no more, but by the hands of this fool before you,

Kuang Luo To!"
