Amalthea sat in her comfy mini-sized bed, her mind reprieved, her soul sank to blankness and her thoughts swingled with fear. She had heard everything, with her ears, the negotiation of selling her off to an unknown person withered her spines.

It was no new thing in the city, the slavery of children caused by their own parents was a norm that never surprised her. Many times, she had seen it happen, how they got dragged away by more powerful beings, the werewolves.

The females in the city was more priced, their bids special as some of these werewolves needed them for breeding. Amalthea knew that the city more or less a place humans was traded.

She had heard about it all, the escapades of those luscious beings, how they could turn animalistic transforming into beasts of the nights. She feared those creatures, especially the most ruthless of them all- The Lycans.
