Kapitel 235: Deceptive streets

Sebastian came out of Ezra's house with a grin so wide it looked like he was auditioning to be the new Cheshire Cat, or perhaps trying to outshine a jack-o'-lantern on Halloween night.

The Rune Master felt quite pleased with how he handled the situation. The deal he had just struck with Ezra was not cheap, but the best one he could get, if not the only one.

Though he still got what he wanted.

The only downside was he was putting himself in danger just to satiate his curiosity about what Miles wrote in those notes.

<It's not like I'm not justified…>

Indeed. There could be everything on those notes, maybe something Miles was working on, and he couldn't achieve because technology didn't reach that kind of level. Or maybe it was something he couldn't complete because he lacked time. But there could also be nothing there.
