Kapitel 181: Self sacrifice

Knight Leo's face was grim. The battle clearly wasn't going well, yet there seemed to be little they could do.

"We must stop the Venomshrike Horror and save those citizens," Knight Leo said.

Sebastian grinned. He knew that was impossible, and he knew Knight Leo was aware of that too. But for some strange reason, he still wanted to try.

"It's not possible, Leo. That is a tier-3 fanged. There is no one in the city strong enough to go after it. The best we could do is to throw ourselves at the beast and use our bodies as bait."

At those words, Knight Leo glanced at the battling soldiers below and then at the massive beast.

Sebastian observed a change in Knight Leo's expression. His eyes had widened, his brow furrowed, and his lips tightened into a thin line. It was as if he was thinking about something- it was the look of a man harbouring a dark thought. 

The jovial and confident Knight Leo seemed to have been replaced by a more somber man.
