Kapitel 407: Robin!

"Please wait a moment, Mr. Nicholas. Nico Olvia should be here soon," Dr. Clover said before turning and walking towards a section of the library where he had unfinished work and secrets to keep from Nicholas.

Meanwhile, Nicholas, intrigued by the vast library within the Tree of Knowledge, began browsing the shelves for books of interest. He soon noticed that the books here were quite old and precious. However, he found no trace of more frivolous publications like 'Playboy' magazines. Despite their age, the books were remarkably well-preserved, with covers and pages in excellent condition. There were no annotations or markings from previous readers, indicating the great care taken to respect these literary treasures.

Nicholas quickly discovered the reason for this: a notice on the wall explained that anyone wishing to make annotations had to copy the book by hand first. If their annotations and insights were recognized by the scholars of the Tree of Knowledge, their annotated version could then be added to the library's collection.

Drawing a book from the shelf, Nicholas opened it casually. It was an ancient-looking volume titled "Historical Records of Dragons."

"The historical records of dragons are numerous. Descriptions include a head resembling a camel, horns like a deer, eyes like a rabbit, ears like an ox, a neck like a snake, a belly like a clam, scales like a carp, claws like an eagle, and palms like a tiger.

According to ancient texts, such dragons likely represent the mythical Zoan-type Fish-Fish Fruit, Azure Dragon form. Besides the Azure Dragon, there are records of lizard-like and sea serpent-like dragons. These include sea dragons dwelling in the deep, fire dragons sleeping in volcanoes, poison dragons lurking in swamps, and numerous bizarre dragon forms such as three-headed dragons, dragon beasts, drakes, and wyverns. All undoubtedly possessed immense power.

The search for these mighty ancient creatures has never ceased. After extensive research and forty years of searching, evidence of their continued existence has been found."

Nicholas was immediately interested. He had seen Kaido's Azure Dragon form, but had yet to encounter any Western dragons. He recalled the legendary dragon slain by the samurai Ryuma, as well as the two weakened Western dragons at Punk Hazard, indicating that their genetic samples must exist, possibly in the hands of Caesar or Vegapunk.

As Nicholas delved into his reading within the Tree of Knowledge's library, Dr. Zako was busy locating Saul and Nico Olvia, who were hiding in the forest on the other side of Ohara.

"Olvia, you need to escape. That man is definitely here for you," Dr. Zako said urgently, still catching his breath from running all the way.

Dr. Zako had great admiration for Olvia. Her dedication to uncovering historical truths, even at the cost of her own life, was a spirit that would be immortalized with a portrait in the Tree of Knowledge's library.

"If we escape, what will happen to Ohara?" Olvia asked, her expression serious as she gazed at the enormous Tree of Knowledge in the distance. She knew well the power of these emperors of the sea. Provoking one could put all of Ohara in grave danger.

"Dr. Clover said he would handle Nicholas. You need to get away quickly," Dr. Zako urged.

"With Nicholas' strength, if he finds out we're in Ohara, we won't be able to escape," Saul's voice interjected from nearby.

As a former Vice Admiral of the Navy Headquarters, Saul knew all too well the terror of Nicholas. Even his incredibly strong friend Kuzan would be helpless if he encountered Nicholas alone on the sea.

"You're right. I can't let Ohara be endangered because of me. Lead the way, Zako," Olvia said softly.

"Alright..." Dr. Zako sighed, seeing that Olvia had made up her mind.

Inside the library of the Tree of Knowledge, Nicholas picked up a book that would be considered forbidden in the outside world and began to read.

As he was engrossed in the book, a small figure suddenly collided with his legs.

"Ouch!"

Nicholas remained unmoved, but the small figure was knocked backward and fell to the ground, dropping the book she was holding.

"Ouch, that hurt!" The small figure, a young girl, rubbed her backside, clearly having taken a hard fall. But she quickly stood up and checked her book for damage, showing more concern for the book than for herself.

Seeing this, Nicholas raised an eyebrow. He hadn't expected their first meeting to be like this.

"Are you alright, little girl?"

The young girl, clutching her book, stood up and bowed apologetically to Nicholas. "I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention and bumped into you."

She apologized repeatedly, her demeanor so mature and considerate that it was heart-wrenching.

"It's okay. By the way, my name is Nicholas," he introduced himself.

"I'm Robin," the young girl replied, holding her book and curiously examining Nicholas. She knew all the scholars in the Tree of Knowledge, but she had never seen Nicholas before.

Nicholas noticed the book Robin was holding, "Devil Fruit Research Report," and couldn't help but smile. The future formidable woman was now just a little girl seeking the approval of those around her.

For the scholars in Ohara, Robin's unusual abilities were recognized as the powers of the Hana Hana no Mi (Flower-Flower Fruit). However, the ordinary residents of Ohara, especially the children, did not understand this. They only knew that a person who could mysteriously grow limbs was a monster.

"Are you in a hurry to prove to them that you're not a monster? There's no need. Once they understand what Devil Fruits are, they will envy you. Even the most useless Devil Fruit is worth a hundred million beli."

Robin's eyes lit up at Nicholas' words. "Really?"

"Of course!" Nicholas replied, extending his hand. "Watch."

Electricity sparked from his palm and quickly formed into a small deer made of lightning. The deer then transformed into a bird that flew around them.

"A bird!" Robin exclaimed, amazed by the incredible sight. She had no idea that the seemingly harmless bird could be a deadly weapon in battle.

Just as Robin was about to discuss her feelings of being misunderstood further, a voice called out from nearby.

"Robin."

Hearing the voice, Robin froze. When she turned and saw the familiar figure, tears welled up in her eyes. Finally, the pent-up grievances and emotions she had been holding back burst forth, and she began to cry loudly.
