Kapitel 186: Inspector Leora

The next morning, I woke up feeling blissfully content, my mind still wrapped in the warmth of the previous night's passion. Zephara was already out of bed, which wasn't unusual, but something about her recent behavior had me on edge. She was definitely up to something.

I stretched languidly, savoring the memories of our intimate moments, and then decided to get up and find Zephara. I threw on a robe and padded out of our chambers, determined to figure out what my fiancée was hiding. 

As I wandered through the castle's halls, I noticed the staff bustling about, preparing for the day's activities. I spotted Ingrid, one of the maids, and decided to try to get some information.

"Ingrid, have you seen Zephara this morning?" I asked, trying to sound casual.

Ingrid looked up from her dusting, a knowing smile on her face. "She was in the kitchens earlier, Your Majesty. I believe she was discussing something with the chef."
