Kapitel 18: Chapter 18- Human monster

Another thing that tempted Arc was the promised monster soul. Till now, he has experienced himself that the talking of chances of getting monster souls is too rare is not just a talking but a truth.

"I mean if you are so generous, then why not," Arc said.

Others had smiles on their faces and Arc felt that they were trying to suppress their laugh for some reason but ignored the details that even if these people were trying to plot something against him they would not succeed at all because he had the card of monster soul armour hidden up in his sleeve.

"So, we shall call it a deal," Gojo said.

Arc also moved into a team of people with long-range weapons while occasionally killing one or two monsters who reached near him. But there was obviously no luck for Monster Soul.

'I think that there is something odd about this guy, I should keep an eye on him.' Gojo thought to himself while side-eyeing Arc. Gojo himself was pretty good at Now and Arrow as he killed those monsters with very ease while making jokes.

"Leader, I think it's time we change the spot because there are fewer and fewer monsters here now. And pretty much everyone has got bored of these monsters here." Someone from guarding people with shields and hammers said.

"I guess, you are right. Everyone quickly gets your killed monsters. After eating, we will go to the next monster spot." Gojo said announcing to everyone.

Till now, everyone has relaxed their guard killing these weak monsters.

With a sudden swoosh sound, a fast and large eagle came out of nowhere while attacking this guarding team.

The guarding person reacted in time and brought his in front to block the attack, but the impact of the attack made him take some steps back. His shield was not spared either, because it had a deep gash of claw marks almost making holes in the shield.

A thud sound could be heard there now when Arc looked back to find the reason for this sound, he saw Gojo dropping his bow and arrows on the ground while clasping both his hands together like in some warm-up pose, all this time, Gojo had a grin on his face as he have finally found something to so after a tedious day of work.

"Pop…"

This muffled sound was very low to be heard but it was heard because all people were holding back their breath from the threat of this newly appeared Monster. This sound was of Gojo popping his hands slowly by cracking it.

The next moment, Gojo summoned a monster, and a fog-like image of dragon monsters appeared before it turned into a hammer.

Then that hammer began to change its shape and became a sword.

Gojo walking with a smile was like he was provoking that monster to attack him. Even, Arc know that he would not dare to attempt such a thing, because that monster have lethal attack capabilities along with high speed.

Arc can barely make the image of the monster moving in his sight because of how fast it is.

Arc wanted to be ready for anything so he made his grip on the spear even stronger to use it at any moment if the need arose.

Monster swooped down from the other side like lightning falling from the sky. It was sudden and fast.

Gojo slashed his sword which appeared like a random slash in other's eyes because they could not follow the monster's moments with their eyes.

But the next moment, a spurt of blood gushed out of the air after which a monster cleaved in two halves fell to the ground.

It was an eagle monster that was a lot bigger than the ones they were fighting just before.

Gojo who was now looking like an excited baby called back his monster soul and before getting called back, that sword once again turned back into a hammer.

'Man, what kind of monster soul is that, it's really hard to come around people who even have ordinary monster souls to use and here this person has some kind of rare monster soul which is of high rank.' Arc thought.

"So, guys let's move on to some spot for eating these monster bodies. This monster I killed belongs only to me." Gojo said to everyone that hunting more monsters while having this many monster bodies is a big waste even though this waste would not even phase him at all.

Leading the hunting team, guards led them to an open place alongside the river where usually no monster ever appears.

They all quickly gathered their killed monsters and made various dishes that they preferred according to their choices.

Arc also made a stew and made a soup out of a monster after quickly doing the steps needed in the process.

"Hey, does anyone have spices, I forgot to bring mine. You can take this extra monster from mine. It's extra anyway." Someone from the guard team said.

No one Sid anything like they don't want to share their spices, even for one monster body. Because they know that there will be more monsters to eat later and this resource of spices is needed to make their food taste good and easily eatable.

"I have extra spices, and no need for the monster, you can keep it." Arc forwarded the extra spices he had while saying this. There was the purpose behind Arc's kind gesture because he wanted to establish a sort of relationship with this team on good terms. The reason for this is that this team can help him in many ways and he would have nothing to lose in this favour.

Arc was especially eyeing that special monster soul of Gojo. Because he wanted to know what sort of monster produced this monster's soul, guessing is that it was a dragon-type monster. But, the biggest question was where this monster can be found.
