Kapitel 37: Ch. 35 - Catch Whatever You Can 2

Sitting in the Pokemon Center's lounge area, I pulled out my PokeDEX to check how many more Pokemon I needed to catch.

[DIPPER - Issued 20XX-02-02

PokeDEX - 21

Money - ₽28,240

Max Obedience - Lv. 37

<Gym Badges>

1 - [Boulder Badge]

2 - [Cascade Badge]

3 - [Thunder Badge]]

"So, I just need to catch 9 more Pokemon, and then I can get the 'Item Finder'."

After healing my Pokemon, I headed back to the 'Route 11'.

'I'll look at the information of all the newly caught Pokemon later.'

[You have entered Route 11]

Back on 'Route 11', I decided to head to 'Route 12' to look for the sleeping Snorlax and hopefully get a quest.

Crossing the sections of Tall Grass, I came face to face with a building similar to the one in 'Viridian Forest' and on 'Route 5'.

I entered the building, which is called a Guard House.

Two guards were standing on both sides of the hallway.

Unlike other Guard Houses, this Guard House also had stairs which were leading to the first floor of the building.

'Professor Oak's aide should be on the first floor who will give me the 'Item Finder'.'

I chose not to go to the first floor as I didn't have the data of 30 Pokemon, So I exited the Guard House through the gateway on the other side.

[You have entered Route 12]

{Image Of Route 12}

I was on 'Route 12', which was a small and narrow pathway. Walking on 'Route 12' for a short distance, I immediately noticed a giant Pokemon sleeping on the route.

The route was connected to a wooden bridge, but a sleeping Snorlax was blocking the way.

{Image Of Snorlax}

'What will happen if I try to wake him up?'

"AHHHHH!!!" I shouted, but there was no reaction from Snorlax.

I tried to touch it, but was stopped by the red barrier.

*Ding*

[New Quest]

[Quest - Sweet Sleep {Unique}

Description - A Pokemon is sprawled out in a deep and comfortable slumber on Route 12. Find a way to wake it up and open the blocked path.

Reward - Wild Encounter with the Pokemon, 1x Random Box

Deadline - Until someone wakes it up.

Failure - None]

[<Accept> <Reject>]

I got a quest, which I had no reason to reject, so I pressed <Accept>.

'Wait, what will happen if I try to catch it while it is sleeping?'

I quickly took out a Poke Ball and threw it at the sleeping Snorlax, but the Poke Ball bounced off the red barrier and came towards me, which I immediately caught.

'So it is not possible to catch it until it wakes up.'

After getting the quest, I headed back to 'Route 11' but just as I turned back, my eyes fell on the blue water, and I remembered the Old Rod that I got for the Fishing Guru.

"I haven't caught any Pokemon with the Old Rod. I can get some new Pokemon from fishing."

"But where am I going to fish?"

I thought for some time and remembered the area around the Harbor of 'Vermilion City' and 'Diglett's Cave'.

"Yes, I can fish in front of the 'Diglett's Cave'."

Quickly making my way to 'Diglett's Cave' to catch new Pokemon.

[You have entered Route 11]

Soon I was in front of 'Diglett's Cave'. There was a canal of water opposite to the 'Diglett's Cave'.

I moved close to the water and took out the Old Rod from my backpack.

I cast the line into the water and waited.

[You cast a line into the water]

[Not even a nibble...]

Nothing happened after a while, so I recast the line.

After so many tries, I didn't land any wild Pokemon, and the ones I did land were Magikarp.

I was getting bored, and I couldn't see myself wasting more time on fishing.

So, I put the Old Rod back in my backpack and headed to the tall grass.

After some wild Pokemon encounters, I realized that I was not finding any new Pokemon, as it seemed that I had already caught all types of Pokemon that could be found on 'Route 11'.

So, rather than wasting my time on 'Route 11', hoping to find any new Pokemon, I chose to head to 'Route 6'.

[You have entered Vermilion City]

While heading to 'Route 6', I stopped by the Pokemon Center to heal my Pokemon.

[You have entered Route 6]

Quickly entering the tall grass, I started looking for wild Pokemon.

It seems that I have caught almost all types of Pokemon on 'Route 6' as well.

I decided to head back to the Pokemon Center, but as I was walking, I noticed a small pond of water on 'Route 6'. Thinking of the Old Rod, I once again decided to use the Old Rod to get some new Pokemon.

Moving closer to the Pond, I cast a line.

[You cast a line into the water]

[Landed a Pokemon]

Magikarp Lv. 09 <Defeated>

[Hoothoot gains 52 EXP. Points]

'Fishing is such an inconvenient way of catching Pokemon. Maybe I need a better fishing rod to increase my chances of landing a Pokemon' I thought as I put the Old Rod back.

Discarding the idea of going back to the Pokemon Center, I started making my way through the tall grass, hoping to find any new Pokemon while heading to 'Route 5'.

'I'm sure I'll be able to find some Pokemon on 'Route 5', maybe a Nidoran or something.'

Growlithe Lv. 13 <Caught> x1 Poke Ball

Meowth Lv. 12 <Defeated>

[Ponyta gains 119 EXP. Points]

Spearow Lv. 09 <Defeated>

After many more wild encounters, from which I chose to run away because they were the Pokemon I had already caught and were low level that wouldn't give much EXP. Points.

'Maybe I can find new Pokemon there. Yes, I am sure I will definitely find something there.' I thought as I started heading towards my new destination.

I used Teleport to get back to 'Vermilion City'.

[You have entered Vermilion City]

Exiting the Pokemon Center after healing my Pokemon, I head to my destination.
