"I never knew they had switches here," I said, looking at one of the latest models. "I wonder if they have laptops."
"They have them in the back of the store," Aster answered. He was about to pay for his own model of the switch. "They also have cardridges for the switch on the left side of the store. It'd probably do you some good to buy a couple."
If they have similiar games to my world, that would be amazing. I could probably get Pokemon or something. Hell, I'll freak if they have League of Legends. I'm totally getting a laptop.
"You should get the new Palworld," Ren suggested, grabbing a game from above me on the shelf. "I tried it out and it's pretty cool."
They look like pokemon, legit, exactly like them. It was like 3D anime from what I saw on the cover of the container holding the cardridge.
"It's just a recommendation," Ren rubbed his head and looked away in what seemed like embarressment. "You don't have to take it or anythi-"
"You kidding?" I cut him off and took the game away from him. "Hell yeah, I'm buying this."
"Oh, okay then. I didn't expect that kind of reaction."
Well, what did you expect? For me to just walk away and be like nothing happened? It looks hella cool.
"Aww, you finally found someone to play your game with you?" Aster leaned in to include himself in the conversation.
Aster continued to tease Ren, causing him to hide his face in his hands. What a softie, allowing Aster to tease him like that. I never cared for it when kids did that to me in my home world, but if I was Ren, I'd probably beat his ass verbally. I'm pretty good at being a savage bitch, and I use it my advantage.
I rolled my eyes before heading over to the counter to pay for my new switch and games. I grabbed a few different one, aside from Palworld, I got Mario Party: All Stars, Smash Bros., and Suika. They seemed like cool games. I had heard of a game like Suika back at home. It made people mald and rage and they would often quit. Though, sooner or later, they'd come back to improve.
Each game was about thirty bucks, so that would be nine points for each game, so, 27 points in all? Plus the switch, which was about $330, so 33 more points. In all, it'd be 60 points spent in one go. God dam, I'm good at math.
I don't want to spend more than I should. After all, I don't really know when we'll get more points. Hell, do we even get more points?
"Let's head out now," I said after paying for the games, completely overlooking the fact that Aster and Ren might not be done shopping. "I'm tired and I want to eat. I'm starving."
Ren's eyes suddenly lit up at the sound of food, his blue eyes were full of sparkles and excitement. I could've sworn I saw a bit of drool.
"Let's call the girls out to eat dinner!" Ren suggested, lifting a finger along with an idea. "I'm sure they're hungry, we can go pick them up. I know a good place near the dorms, so we won't have to walk very far across campus.
"I heard they have an arcade right next to it," Aster said, putting a finger on his chin. "We can go play for a little bit before going back to our dorms."
"I'd really rather not," I immediately blurted out, rather hurriedly. "Shouldn't we save our points? I mean, I don't really know if we get more, so I'm just gonna grab the cheapest thing on the menu."
Aster stared at me with a look of "I'm deeply offended," and put his hand on his chest, letting out a mocking gasp.
"Why, you introverted dummy, you shouldn't just get the cheapest thig you can find. I'm sure there's something you want other than that low grade food."
Why are you talking to me like I'm a peasant? You savage little piece of shit?
"I'm just playing a safe card."
More like I want to get the hell away from you and go to sleep. I'd even take up the chance to pummel you for dragging me out here when I should've been eating dinner!
I felt Aster tug at my sleeve as I tried to walk back to my dorm room. Man did he have a good grip, I tried to pull away but he just wouldn't let go. The look on his face was like when a puppy dog wants a treat, big and sparkly eyes.
"Fine," I sighed, finally surrendering to his request. "I'll come. But I'm not getting anything."
"They have free meals," Ren pointed out.
"They have free meals?!" I turned to him and I might've glared at him because he shrunk in that moment. "Why didn't you say anything? I've been starving here, wanting to save the money I have!"
"I'm very sorry."
I slapped my forehead in disbelief. If he had pointed that out earlier, then I would've just gone to eat a small meal before even going back to my dorm.
"Okay," I took a deep breath. "I'm going to get a damn meal and then I'm going to shower, and go the fuck to sleep."
"Nyoooo!" Aster hugged my arm and, let me tell you, if his grip was tight before, there was no way he would let go now, no matter what I do.
I guess I have no choice...
I'll have to drag him all the way to the resturant, get Ren to distract him, and run like there's no tomorrow.
That's the only option I have. The resturant was only a couple stores away. If I could just bring him there, I'll call the girls and get them to help me distract him.
"Okay, I get it, I'll go eat with you guys," I started walking toward the nearest resturant. At that point, I didn't even care if it was the one Ren was talking about or not, I just needed Aster to want food more than me to hang out with them.
----------
The fact that Aster hadn't let go, not even once, during the walk was incredible to be. He eas practiaclly clinging to my arm, and he was heavy. It might've been my small size, but I almost fell over multiple times because he put all his weight on me.
"Oh, you boys finally arrived," Aia said, the other girls sitting with her at a round table under an umbrella.
Now, how did you guys get here first if you were at your dorms?
"We're at the resturant, Aster," I wheezed, completely out of breath from pulling Aster around. "Now get the hell off me."
Ren grabbed Aster by arm and slowly pried him off of me. He complained during the removal, but I did not care, not one bit. Aia and Scarle snickered and snorted, laughing their little heads off as we struggled to pry Aster off of me. I did manage to run away before he could grab me again, thank god for that. My stamp na has really increased ever since I was sent here, or, more isekai'd, really.
"Finally." I put my hand on the doorknob. Maybe I lied about eating with them. Ain't no way I'm going sit and eat with them if they're going to do things like hold me the way Aster did. "I can just eat here."
Before we left the game store, I made sure to grab a quick snack, well, it was more of a mini meal in a small tray. At least it was something, I mean, it looked pretty filling. I also don't want to have to spend more than I have to on things like food. My tastebuds may be wack, but they accept plain food like butter noodles, so that's a win for me. Plain food is cheap food.
"What are doing just standing there?"
"Holy mother of-"
"SHH!"
I never would have thought that Miss Alouette, no, Enna, of all people would show up at my dorm. She scared the living shit out of me, standing next to my door, hiding in plain sight and yet completely invisible.
"What are you doing here?!" I demanded. It came out as muffled with her finger pressed against my lips.
"I need a place to crash and no one else will let me stay with them." She answered.
"Don't you have your own dorm?" I pushed her hand away from my mouth.
"Yeah, about that…" she fidgeted with her fingers and looked anywhere but at me. "I was trying to do a project for potions class and I ended mixing the wrong things together and it kind of….exploded?"
This idiot son of a…
"Aren't you a third year? Shouldn't you know how these things work? And why didn't the teachers help you with this?"
"The teachers said I'm a third year and can handle the comsequenseces of my actions. Can you please let me stay in your dorm? I already asked everyone I know and feel comfortable with!"
Now that's rich. I'm pretty sure, after experiencing a potions class with Scarle, which was a disaster, Enna's project couldn't have been that bad.
"Pretty please?" Enna asked one more time. "With a cherry on top?"
"Ugh," I groaned and leaned my forehead against the door. There's no way I was going to let her simply sleep in my dorm, but there was also no way I was going to say no to my senpai in this situation. "Fine…"
"YES! Bitch, you are a lifesaver!"
This motherfucker is going to be the death of me….
Sorry for the VERY late update! I was traveling and on vacation.
