Mateo looked at the woman who was pretending to be innocent and naive. He smiled at her before saying, "Mrs Clamont, you do realise the situation you are in at the moment right?" 

"I do not understand," Mrs Clamont refused to say anything. The things that she had seen and heard, she was not going to breathe a word about it. If she did then she would be in danger and not only her —maybe her family would be in danger as well. 

She couldn't allow such a thing to happen! 

Seeing her lack of cooperation, Mateo was not surprised. He simply sighed and said to her, "It's true that the Ashford family is neutral but we can also show you our might in case you cannot understand our words." 

Though he didnt threaten her outright, his words brimmed with it.
