"Are you wondering what you are doing here, Ariel?" A voice distorted by the voice modifier spoke from the front and even though there was an alluring charm to the low pitch of the voice, Ariel trembled in fright.
She turned her face to look at the front and her eyes met with the man who was the only one sitting in what looked like an abandoned factory.
Though the man's stance was that of a languid panther, his eyes, the shade of embers were filled with the utmost fury.
"Ah, of course, you are," he said in a calm and even voice. Ariel flinched as if he had whipped her upon hearing those calm words. She might have fared better if this man was screaming.
Her mother often told her that those who had frightening control over their emotions were really terrifying. And people like these were the ones who she should fear.
