When Glynn heard Noah's accusations, she knew that Mister Smith had blown her cover. Inwardly, she cursed that man for tattling on when she had given him enough money than he could earn in a year. 

However, now that the entire thing was out in the open, Glynn could only make excuses to defend herself. Glynn would never accept that she schemed against her brother because she would rather not be related to someone like Ariana. 

"I did it for you, brother," Glynn said haughtily, she covered her cheeks that were slapped with her hands and glared at Noah. "You and Mother seemed to have gone crazy ever since that woman left the house. It's embarrassing to watch, do you even know what will people say if they find out about your actions?"
