Athena stared at Dominique intently, waiting for his reply. She was in a rush to put a label on their current relationship. She wouldn't let him take advantage of her. This was a big gamble for her with lots of sacrifices.
Meanwhile, Dominique remained tight-lipped, unable to respond to Athena's demand. Her words made him return to his senses. As he struggled to find the right words to say, he took his coat, covering Athena's exposed upper body. Her shirt had been torn because of him.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to…" Dominique hesitated when he realized what he had done. "I was not in my right mind–" He gazed down as he couldn't look straight into her eyes. He felt so guilty for crossing the line between them. He was so inconsiderate of her feelings.
He thought that getting intimately involved with her might be an insult to her since he was a married man. He didn't think of the consequences of his selfish actions. Athena also had a reputation to protect.
