Ning Hao smiled in response, "Actually, I should be the one thanking you for saving my colleague and her child."
Qin Sisi curved her lips into a smile, refrained from saying much, bid him a single "Goodbye," and prepared to turn around and leave.
Ning Hao suddenly remembered something else, and added from behind, "Oh, and by the way, my grandmother loved the clothes you chose for her."
Qin Sisi nodded, "That's good. It's getting late, you should get home. Don't make your grandma worry."
"Mm." Ning Hao responded, slowly rolling up the car window as Qin Sisi turned around and headed into the building.
But Ning Hao did not immediately start the car. Instead, he watched as Qin Sisi disappeared into the entrance of the building. He then silently lit a cigarette, allowing the bizarre and hard-to-accept events that had previously occurred to gradually settle in his mind. Only then did he drive to the underground parking lot and return home.
