The two officers exchanged glances, and the younger one proceeded to ask more questions about the cat. Qin Sisi answered all of them, feeling as though she hadn't given away anything unusual.

Finally, the young officer told Qin Sisi, "We'll leave it at that for now. We'll contact you if we need anything else. If anything out of the ordinary comes to mind, please inform us as soon as you can."

"Alright," Qin Sisi nodded in agreement, preparing to leave, but hesitated before finally mustering up enough courage to ask, "What...what happened to Manager Wang?"

The two policemen exchanged a glance and the older one said, "He was injured and is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital."

"Injured?" Sisi repeated in surprise. She felt somewhat relieved hearing this. After all, he was just injured. If the police said so, it probably wasn't life-threatening.

The older officer continued, "We can't reveal the specifics of the situation right now."
