Kapitel 39: Bargain with the devil

"You want me to kill my kind, as you call it?"

She nodded.

Intrigued, he persisted, "that would not bother your conscience."

Her eyes darkened as she remembered all those that perished on Isla Serpiente.

She looked Genesis straight in the eyes and said firmly, "No, it doesn't bother me at all."

"Do you think it's easy for me to kill my kind?"

If he was trying to make her feel immense guilt he would not succeed that night.

So tired, she should be sleeping, not trying to make a strange bargain with the devil.

It took everything in her to hold back and not snap at him when she was practically begging him to save her life.

Would he want a piece of her soul or all of it?

Just how much was she prepared to pay if his asking price was too great. 

Under the moonlight, even with tears drying on his face, he looked fierce and bold.

Even with the tear falling down his face she still thought it was just for show.
