Kapitel 63: Contract Matter

Cassius' eyes were far away, reminiscent when the time he came back home late. He was outside their room when he heard this:

"My lovely Seren, you're just like your father. I simply can't help but love you. Even your hair shines as brightly as his, as warm and radiant as the sunlight," Amane brushed baby Seren's hair full of love.

"Every time I miss your father, I look at you. And whenever I long for his old love for me, I will always embrace you. For you are the beautiful fruit of our love," Amane continued, lifting baby Seren into the air as the baby giggled with delight.

"Grow strong and healthy, baby. So our proof of love can stay longer on this earth. I know your father feels the same, for you are truly the love of his life."

Hearing those words filled Cassius with shame for the feelings he had harbored. Afterward, he apologized to Amane and made a vow to love their child as deeply as he loved his wife.
