SKELETONS UNDER THE WAREHOUSE
We went to a location that was encroached by the forest. If we didn't know better, we would have thought we entered a small forest.
In actual fact, we reached a large warehouse that once held mountains of grains for the city.
"Your guy is over there", Sara told me as she pointed to a hidden shed.
"Come out Gagarine, it's me, Oriese", I said over to the shed.
"Shhh.. you should be quiet. We do not want to draw the militias to come here to our secret base in the city", Gagarine said to me.
"Don't worry, there are no militias here for at least a mile. It is only us here in this bloody abandoned warehouse", Sara told him.
"How do you want us to help you?" I asked Gagarine.
"Duke Oriese, did you come alone with a girl? I thought you would bring the Conjurers or the Knights with you", Gagarine said to us, doubting our abilities.
"Don't worry, we have bloody backup", Sara told the guy.
"Oh..Okay. Our family and friends were taken by the militias of Uralis kingdom into their prison", Gagarine told us his problem.
"Why did the militias take them?" I asked him.
"We never wanted to come to this city. We were traveling in our usual routes when the militias captured them and brought them back to Uralis city", Gagarine told us.
"What does the militia want with your people?" I asked Gagarine.
"I don't know. We know they have been capturing people in the city for some dark magic rituals, but they never went out of the city before", Gagarine told me.
"There must be few people to catch in the city, so the militias went out of the city to look for fools to catch", Sara told us.
"We are fools to come near this damned city. What are we going to do?" Gagarine asked me.
"Do you know where the prisoners are held?" I asked him.
"Yes. We looked for them secretly in the city for days and we finally found where our people were taken. I can show you the map", Gagarine told me as he showed me a map.
"Wait people are here", Sara told us suddenly.
But it was already too late to avoid encounter with these people.
Suddenly, something emerged from the ground that rushed toward us.
With a blast from her hand, Sara disintegrated the thing that attacked us. It was a skeleton-like creature that attacked us.
"Concentrated laser beams"
After Sara obtained the Temple of Magic from Tarah city, she could conjure almost any templar magic that she studied. She has been casting a variety of magic to show off to us recently.
"Another useless creep", Sara said to us after destroying the skeleton that attacked us.
"How did you do that to the monster? You are only a girl", Gagarine asked Sara in shock over her abilities.
"The laser beam is the least of Sara's abilities", I told Gagarine.
"No wonder you didn't bring a group of conjurers here. You brought a legendary conjurer and a particularly young one", Gagarine said to me.
"How did the skeleton avoid your detection?" I asked Sara.
"I'm checking now what I missed", Sara told us when suddenly another skeleton jumped us after emerging from the ground.
A fiery flash was conjured from me that swiftly destroyed the skeleton that attacked us again.
"Starfire Flash"
The templar magic I cast was the magic of the Kaleon family which I learned earlier. It was the best skill to use in the circumstances. My weakest projectile skill.
"Your father will be proud of you for using your family's lousy skill. Why did you ask me to help you improve your skills for if you don't use them?", Sara said to me and asked.
Sara helped me to maximize the effectiveness of most of my magic skills. That was why all my skills were greatly improved. However, there was a problem with too much upgrade.
"If I cast the improved skills that you helped me craft, I would destroy this warehouse and alert everyone in the city. So much for a secret and discreet mission", I replied to her.
Suddenly, the skeleton that I thought was destroyed by my magic suddenly started rebuilding its skeletal frame. It was supported by the essence of the skeleton that was pulverized by Sara's spell.
"Damn, these bloody skeletons can transmute into energy to support each other", I said to them.
Suddenly, another blinding beam was fired on the revived skeleton to pulverize it once more. This time the skeleton disintegrated, so it could not revive again.
"Must I do everything?" Sara asked me.
"How did the skeletons jump out from the ground?" Gagarine asked us.
"That is their ability and also the reason I couldn't detect them before, they could travel under the ground", Sara told me.
"Damnit, they can also do that?" I asked her.
"We are doomed. The skeletons will catch us if they can travel under the ground", Gagarine told us worriedly.
"Relax, these skeletons were probably here in this warehouse before the militias started taking people. They were buried here a long time ago", Sara told Gagarine.
"I didn't know this warehouse was a graveyard before this", Gagarine told us.
"Why did skeletons suddenly animate after being buried for years?" I asked Sara.
"Something is calling to them", she replied to me.
"Does the skeleton summoning have anything to do with the militias capturing people?" I asked Sara.
"I cannot confirm. The captured people may be used for human sacrifices. That is what dark magic is good at", Sara told us and Gagarine was shocked to hear about it.
"Our people. Are they being sacrificed to dark magic?" Gagarine asked us worriedly.
"We don't know until we check the place where they were held", I replied to Gagarine.
"Why are the Lich King summoning skeletons?" Gagarine asked us puzzledly.
"Perhaps it is not the Lich King that we are dealing with now", I replied to him.
"Then what are we dealing with?" Gagarine asked me.
"That is something we will have to find out soon", I replied to him.
"Are we going to the prison now?" Gagarine asked us.
"We are. You are going home, wherever that is", Sara replied to him.
