I don't really have a high expectation in fanfics, but this one is just straight up misleading. Essentially, you'll be highly disappointed if you're expecting Oregairu style of monologue writing and the original Hachiman personality. This fanfic features a self-insert OOC(Out of character) Hachiman, which unfortunately has negligible percentage of the original Hachiman elements that we know and love. The MC is essentially a self-insert OC (Original characters) with Hachiman appearance and a bit of the loner attribute. Not only that, but a lot of the other COTE characters are also OOC as well. Read this fanfic with the mindset of the characters are OOC, despite the setting is indeed COTE and has Oregairu characters to enjoy it.
This was a fun read, I always love seeing hachiman in any novel. 10/10 For other reasons. If you know you know.
Starts off very strong, but as the book goes on and shifts from the POV of the COTE cast to the Oregairu cast, we find that the author treats Yukino, Yui, and Shizuka like utter garbage. As in, he creates this alternate universe where their lives are all ruined for no other reason than what I can only assume is a mixture of malice and hatred. The argument can be made that he changed the plot to make it possible for Hikigaya to attend the COTE school, but the way he went about it was so vile that I can no longer read this.
Did you delete Ichinose as Hachiman's love interest?I remember he was one of your love interests too........................................................

The first chapters are actually good, it's just that the more you read them, the more they don't make sense, if you ask "which part?", first in terms of the MC's own character who is very different from the Hachigaya Hachiman we know, then other characters like Hiyori , Sakayanagi, Horikita and Kushida sometimes come out of character, for example Kushida, according to her character, she will really force herself to be close to MC because MC rejects her good girl charm, you know for yourself that she wants everyone's secrets. then the plot, to be honest I felt like I was reading a cultivation novel when Yukino, Yui, Komachi came to the school gate, I felt goosebumps seeing this nonsensical plot. To be honest there was still a lot of other nonsense like Hachiman emitting "killing intent" but I not patient enough to write a long review like this.
so I'm giving you a five star just for the fact that most translations are actually good, but i just wanted to know if you were the author who posted and took down the 167 chapter book with the same title if so could you please explain why i couldn't read the author note 😅
Update more please, there was another one that I started reading yesterday but they deleted it just today. I like it a lot, especially that it is not like others in which the female character falls in love quickly so continue.

overall a great cotexoregairu ff if you look past the hate b*ner the actual author of the series have for the teacher, sister, yui, yukishonita. this is truly hikigaya ero life, tho there are no actual lemons but just mention what happens. some of the plays that happens are lesb play in threes*mes, reverse ra*e play, pet play, s and m play, handholding, forehead kiss, to name some of the top of my head. hikigaya is basically a self centered guy who picks on small fry to exploit private points. he does really love his three girlfriends and would lose his cool if someone mess with them tho he is not stupid and throughly plans his moves to do maximum exploitation and even expel students. this is one of the very few fanfics of cote which actually completed the entire first year and is already in second year before author stops the fanfic. harem: hiyori, arisu, masumi, chiaki (segs friend),2nd year arc hinted harem [iroha (junior 1-c leader, oregairu character), nanase (junior 1-d), amasawa (junior 1-a) and kiryuin (senior 3-b, hinted in a premonition)]. if the fanfic ever gets a true ending, it will be polygamy agreed upon by the 3 lovers from the start and he even got an ok from arisu's dad.
