"I never wished for that Young Highness," replied Sophie quickly.

That made me startled, but then I heaved in relief.

After all, Sophie indeed had the potential to surpass Regulus.

Regulus might be caring towards Sophie now, but no one could ever know if it would remain in the future.

As long as Sophie would only think about serving me, I would give her what she wanted.

And as always, I never was indifferent towards her, for I cared and treasured her as being Eddie, not Luke.

"Then, you don't need to learn any of the laws of power anymore," I said in a soft tone. "Just be with me. Learn from me. Listen to me. Then, even if harm befalls, we can get rid of it."

"Yes, Young Highness," Sophie replied quickly.

She usually wore a distant personality, but even then, she would melt like ice.

"Regulus!" My attention was caught by the Archbishop's seething voice. "Are you bringing humiliation from god?"

Regulus harrumphed.
