Mark hugged Arit tightly and leaned down to whisper in her ear. Mark could feel some wetness on his shirt, and he held her tighter as her tears increased.
"I'm not angry that you killed them, Arit. Just don't lie to me again. Even if the entire world is against you, you can trust that I'll be on your side. I'll protect you no matter what because I know everything you do is to protect me. You can trust me."
"Waaa! I *sniff!* I'm sorry for lying! *sniff!* I'm sorry!"
Mark sighed as he felt his heart squeeze as he heard Arit crying. She was such a crybaby.
Arit bawled her eyes out into Mark's chest, and Mark just pet her head gently as he told her that everything was going to be fine.
