Kapitel 23: Bloodbeast [2]
Dodging all the Bloodbeast's attacks, Alice couldn't help but frown in annoyance; every time she tried to get close, the monster attacked her with the blood drop.
Tsk, this is getting annoying; if it weren't for that attack, I would have gotten close enough by now... If only I had my... Sigh, now's not the time... Alice exhaled, swinging her swords.
Her two blades cut cleanly through the monster's huge tail, which let out a scream of pain while numerous drops of crimson blood began to form around the Bloodbeast, covering almost the entire room.
Alice's eyes widened in surprise at the sight of the numerous drops of crimson blood; she had forgotten that this monster had an attack of this magnitude and that she obviously would not come out of this attack unscathed.
And they will not be able to react at the speed of those drops, and most likely, they will die without realizing that it happened... Alice began to tense her muscles; she had decided to use all her strength to prevent the others from dying.
Her legs swelled, and numerous veins bulged as if they were about to burst at any moment. Adjusting her stance slightly, the ground cracked due to Alice's force on her feet.
As she was ready to leap toward the Bloodbeast, a fireball rushed past her without giving her time to dart and attack the numerous drops of crimson blood.
It was the fireball thrown by Kleint that passed by her side that was the perfect moment before the Bloodbeast made its dangerous attack!
Boom!
The fireball impacted perfectly on the Bloodbeast's body, which let out a high-pitched scream of distorted pain while its figure evaporated to a great extent, significantly reducing its size.
Lee Joon, who had been waiting for this moment, just delicately held the flemish arrow and shot toward the Bloodbeast's body, which was covered by a crimson vapor produced by Kleint's fireball. His vision was greatly improved as he had the [Archer] class.
The arrow quickly crossed the room, easily camouflaging itself in the steam. It achieved its goal without difficulty by destroying the hands holding the rosary with the inverted cross.
The rosary with the inverted cross fell quickly to the floor, producing a slight sound that echoed throughout the room.
Kleint was already fainting; his ears and nose were bleeding, tears were falling from his eyes, and he felt that his brain was going to explode at any moment, but with his last remaining strength, he created a fireball and threw it towards the Bloodbeast, fainting on the spot.
Boom!
The fireball hit the Bloodbeast's body again, which had not recovered from the previous attack, and the high-pitched scream of distorting pain became so loud that the whole place began to vibrate, and small rocks started to fall from the ceiling.
Lee Joon could not stand up when he heard this scream and, like Kleint, also fainted with a wrinkled expression of pure pain.
On the other hand, Alice, seeing the opportunity she had been given, wasted no more time; she darted like an arrow, and in a moment, she was in front of the Bloodbeast and began to make cuts at high speed, making her hands move very quickly.
"Haa..." A raspy breath came from Alice's lips after she had performed numerous slashes with her two swords.
Not long after, the Bloodbeast's body slowly crumbled into pieces until it became a large pool of crimson blood, and no trace of the creature remained.
Just a pool of blood that began to evaporate slowly.
"I didn't expect things to be so crazy..." Letting out a long, tired sigh, Alice muttered to herself, sitting down gently on the ground, letting her muscles relax.
But suddenly, a heavy pressure fell upon her, disconcerting her, and she turned her gaze to the statue of what appeared to be a god, emanating an aura as dark as a night without moon and stars.
And the tears of blood began to fall in great quantity as if it were an open faucet. It seemed that the "Deity" was showing his displeasure at finishing off the follower of "He"
Alice's body shuddered when she saw this, but then she snorted with a small mocking laugh, saying, "You're angry that we ended up with your faithful follower; what a sensitive 'God.'"
That said, the statue shook the whole place like an earthquake before returning to normal.
Once everything was back to normal, the place was full of craters and practically destroyed; the only intact thing was the statue of the inverted crucified god that still gave off a dark and heavy aura.
Alice closed her eyes, letting out a relieved sigh when everything returned to normal, letting the crimson veil illuminate her figure in the middle of the destroyed room, where silence reigned.
...
An hour and a half later.
Kleint slowly began to regain consciousness. Still feeling a severe headache, his heavy eyelids opened, allowing him to see where he was again.
"Argh, shit, that damn thing sure was a troublesome thing..." He muttered to himself, holding his head with a pained expression.
He looked to the side and saw that Lee Joon and Liana were standing up just like him, their faces wrinkled in pain. They then turned his attention to where Alice was sitting, allowing the crimson veil to illuminate her figure. Moreover, the Bloodbeast's body was nowhere to be seen.
This made Kleint sigh internally, relieved since everything was now over. Now, he had to leave and return to the safe zone.
"Finally, it's over..."
"Yes, now we can leave this place and return to the safe zone to rest."
"Well, I just hope nothing serious happened in the safe zone. Otherwise, things would be very problematic."
Lee Joon and Liana, who were talking, were relieved and were thinking about how to rest once they left this place; at that moment, Alice's calm voice sounded:
"Don't forget that we will meet monsters again once we leave this place. So don't relax too much because we don't know what we'll encounter once we leave this place."
Lee Joo and Liana were silent; they had forgotten entirely that once they left, there were monstrous waiting for them and people who were summoned with them, and most of them were not very friendly.
And they could only let out a heavy sigh as they finished getting up.
