They always loved hearing the story of the 'messiah of werewolf kind', which had been written down as a compulsory part of their history syllabus. 

It had been exactly three years... Three years since my mate and the love of my life sacrificed himself to save the world. Just like the rest of the world, I was able to piece myself back together and move on. 

I still cried myself to sleep occasionally, but I was getting better each day. Besides, teaching these children, the future of our pack helped soothe my heart.
