Kapitel 122: Chapter 121 Robin Vs Crocodile

At the Marineford, the marine officers did not expect the live broadcast to end in this way.

The Pluton, this powerful ancient weapon, ultimately fell into the hands of someone outside the World Government, and that person happened to be an enemy of the World Government.

This is not good news for either the World Government or the Marine.

Sengoku had initially thought of sending Admiral Kizaru to Alabasta to retrieve the Pluton, but now that plan had failed. Their only hope was for Kizaru to capture Crocodile and Nico Robin, providing an explanation to the world.

In addition to that, there were more troublesome issues awaiting them: pacifying the civilians, restoring the morale of the troops... all of which were lost in this live broadcast.

What Akainu did in Ohara chilled the hearts of the civilians, and Aokiji's abuse of power did the same. Not to mention that idiot Spandam, whose actions broke the hearts of the Marine and World Government's lower-ranking soldiers.

These deeply damaged hearts couldn't be healed easily with a few words or punishments.

If this were to happen a few more times, it was feared that not only would rebellions against the World Government arise worldwide, but even the Marine itself might start to mutiny... Sengoku couldn't help but shake his head and sigh.

It was truly terrifying. Luke, without doing anything specific, managed to shake the foundation of the World Government and the Marine.

In the past, when the power of guiding the people was in the hands of the World Government, they didn't truly feel the influence of it.

But now, when this power fell into the hands of the enemy, they realized the true impact of words. They discovered that language was a blade that kills without drawing blood, leaving the World Government battered and bruised.

The once mighty Three Admirals of the Marine, only the eccentric Kizaru still appeared somewhat decent. The reputations of Akainu and Aokiji were almost destroyed.

Perhaps this is the advantage of being eccentric. Don't do too many good deeds and avoid getting involved in bad deeds. Pass through the midst of all the chaos, untouched like a falling leaf.

Now, even the dignity of the Marine and the World Government has been completely stripped away. However, the reason why there hasn't been a strong reaction from the world yet is because the power accumulated by the World Government and the Marine is still too strong.

However, human patience has its limits. If this continues, one day the accumulated resentment and anger will explode. Will the World Government truly be able to handle it then?

In which direction will the world go... Sengoku closed his eyes, feeling lost about the future for the first time.

...

In Alabasta, Robin's figure appeared once again in the room, the same room where she and Crocodile had reported before.

Seeing the familiar environment, Robin felt as if everything that had just happened was a dream. However, the power surging within her made her realize that what had just happened was indeed real.

Not long after she appeared, she suddenly felt something and turned her head abruptly towards the door. She saw a mass of sand suddenly appearing and taking on a human form.

The person was none other than Crocodile, the president of Baroque Works and one of Shichibukai.

After the end of the live broadcast, Crocodile immediately returned to this place. He thought that since Robin had disappeared here, she would return here after the broadcast ended.

Indeed, he found Nico Robin returned to this place.

He already knew that Nico Robin did not choose the ownership of Pluton during the live broadcast, but instead chose the spiritual and Constitution potion. And Robin had already consumed both bottles of the potions.

In other words, Nico Robin, apart from herself, had no other value now.

Robin thought that Crocodile would be furious upon seeing her, but to her surprise, Crocodile didn't show anger. Instead, he smiled.

"Miss All Sunday, welcome back," Crocodile said with a smile.

As if unaware of everything that had just happened, as if nothing had occurred, he still treated her as the vice-president of Baroque Works.

"It's been a while... or perhaps I should say we meet again, Boss," Robin smiled back, but she raised her guard, wary of being attacked.

She still remembered how Crocodile suddenly appeared in the footage and pierced her with a gold hook, nearly killing her.

"Don't be so nervous, Miss All Sunday. Let bygones be bygones. Alabasta no longer holds any value for us. It's time to leave," Crocodile said with a smile.

Upon hearing Crocodile's words, Robin was momentarily puzzled, but she quickly understood his intentions.

Crocodile knew that their plan to seize Pluton had failed, and Pluton had been taken by Luke. Since that was the case, he decided to give up on Pluton altogether. As long as Robin was with him, she could help him find another ancient weapon.

Perhaps even helped him find Raftel, the treasure that could overthrow the World Government.

Crocodile wanted to continue their previous agreement, to take Robin to the location of the true history, where Robin would reveal the contents of the true history to him.

Great achievers don't sweat the small stuff. If one Pluton is lost, it's lost. Look at the bigger picture. There are still more things waiting for him to seize, right?

Robin had to admit that Crocodile's actions had completely changed her perception of him. He truly lived up to being an ambitious person, with deep cunning and a profound understanding. Despite just being betrayed by Robin moments ago, he now acted as if nothing had happened.

If it were someone else, they would have surely turned hostile immediately. But Crocodile pretended that nothing had occurred.

If this were before, Robin might have accepted Crocodile's invitation, considering that she couldn't defeat him. But now things were different.

She no longer needed to fear Crocodile's power. If she wanted to uncover the truth of history, she could do it according to her own thoughts, without being threatened by others.

She had long wanted to say "no" to Crocodile.

"I'm sorry, but please allow me to refuse," Nico Robin shook her head and said, "I would like to formally resign from my position as the vice-president of Baroque Works."

Upon hearing Robin's words, the smile on Crocodile's face instantly vanished, replaced by a gloomy expression.

"I suggest you think carefully before giving your answer."

"No need to think anymore. I've already made my decision. Let's end our agreement here, Crocodile," Robin stared directly at Crocodile and spoke.

"It seems we have nothing more to discuss?" Crocodile said calmly, a murderous intent gathering in his eyes as sand slowly emerged from his body.

"Nico Robin, I'll give you one more chance. I know what you're relying on now. Do you think that by consuming the Constitution and Spiritual potion, you're enough to defeat me? You underestimate me! I'm asking you one last time, Nico Robin, do you want to be Miss All Sunday or do you want to be a dead Nico Robin?"

A sandstorm whirled in Crocodile's palm.

Seeing Crocodile's expression, Robin also assumed an attacking posture and said without backing down, "I choose to be Nico Robin."

As soon as Robin's words fell, a flash of ferocity passed through Crocodile's eyes. He had initially thought that Nico Robin still had some usefulness, so he temporarily put aside her betrayal. Even the anger that had been brewing for years was momentarily set aside.

He planned to extract all of Nico Robin's value before discarding her.

He didn't expect this woman to be so ungrateful and insist on tearing their partnership apart.

Since that was the case, he had nothing more to say. Today, he had been holding back a lot of anger!

He couldn't deal with that troublemaker, Luke, who ruined his plans, but could he not deal with you, Nico Robin?

Instantly, the sandstorm in Crocodile's hand swept towards Nico Robin. In this enclosed room, the sandstorm quickly filled the entire space.
